How To Write SEO-Friendly Blog Posts (My Full Checklist!)
1. Ask for SiteComments
Ok, your #1 task after publishing is asking for comments. They'll increase the length of the post and visitors will comment easier on your blog if they see that people have already commented.
2. Link Other Articles To It
If you got inspired to write this article because of another post, go to that post and leave a link to this one. Or if you got the idea for this post from a comment, go and answer that comment leaving a link for the post.
If you think the article is good enough, put it on the menu.
3. Share it on Social Media
Notify your followers that there's a new post on your blog. If you do email marketing, notify your subscribers, too.
4. Google Console
Go to Google Search Console and do an URL inspection on the post. Make sure you request indexing.
Don't wait for Google to come to your site! If you haven't used Search Console, check out Jay's training on it: Introduction To Google Search Console.
5. Bing Webmaster Tools
Maybe Google is the big player, but Bing and Yahoo get a lot of monthly searches. Now, why would you want to lose traffic from them?
Plus, with the updates Google release, the traffic from there is a little unstable.
So, after publishing, go to Bing Webmaster Tools and submit the URL of the new post.
