The High Status of the About Me Page
I wanted to start this training off with some statistics, which may not surprise some but is sure to bring some light to those in the earlier stages of online marketing. Myself included. I knew what my About Me page should be and do, but I was missing some key elements. So I've decided to write this training on how to write an impressive about me page for a blog, in hopes it will help others in their about me page creation.
It wasn't up until recently, I started to discover the real importance of the About Me page and how you can actually be losing out on future sales if it's not optimized. So let's get into those stats.
What are the steps we take when we visit a site for the first time?
If we clicked on their blog post, that's the first page we're reading. When we're finished reading, and assuming we liked the content, what's the next step?
It's usually the "Home" button to check out the site, and then, you got it... the About Me Page. We want to know immediately who they are and can we trust them. Sometimes I'll go to the About Me page before the home page. That's one busy page on our sites!
“Its not uncommon to see opt-in rate on About Me pages around 5%”

The normal opt-in rate is between 1 and 2%.
So I’d say your About Me page is pretty stinkin' special!
Now lets get to some things to help us optimize it for our visitors veiwing pleasure, and our bottom line, shall we?

The one I have in the website I'm developing, is a far cry from what's expected.
Permit me to ask. How'll the about me page of newbies like me coming through the bootcamp look like?
Take note. This is my first attempt at internet business.
Thanks!
