So, I figured I would put up a good training video that shows people how to write a great blog comment. From time to time you might notice that some comments you have received might not really be of much value. Sure, they tell you, you have done a good job yada yada yada.
But, you want to actually leave people blog comments they can reply to. This helps with user engagement on their website so much more.
Also, I have done a training what happens if you get a useless comment. It might be a little unconventional but you can modify them. Please see this training that I did on this common problem too:

Thank you!
Sometimes Site Comments drive me nuts.
For example recently I got the following comment:
"...As a beginner blogger I love to find great information about how can I improve my blog content and get more traffic to my website. Writing great value content + backlinks = traffic..."
Now look at my screenshot of what I wrote RIGHT AT THE TOP OF MY POST...
"In this post you will NOT find cliche answers like:
'Great content + Backlinks = Higher Ranking'"
Seriously people, do you think we are stupid?
Some people actually PAY for getting comments at Site Comments platform and at least spend some time reading through the post.
I mean I am sure I am not perfect myself but at least I am trying my best to provide a great comment, the one that I would've loved to see if it were for me.

Hi Garen, If we were not in WA, then our websites would not be getting comments. So we should be very grateful for this service. So I like you idea of going back to make a second comment. I provides other visitors to the site the appearance of regular visitors. On time comments give the appearance of someone stumbled upon your site. But a return comment shows that you read the site owners reply and thanked them or show that it helped you. Great video. Thanks Dave

Hello Garen,This was such a great idea because i have been really confused as to how comments should be so engaging. And which comments to keep or rewrite. The idea of starting a discussion is the basis for engagement. What do you do with a comment that is not appropriate? Is it ok on the other side with our own sites to completely delete a comment?
This was a brillant idea and so useful.

This is great training, hopefully, more people will read this!!
I find that in the comment give and take thread, the quality of comments I get, overall is pretty poor. I usually get about 3 sentences and very little engagement. I usually end up editing the comment. At least with SiteComments, there is some kind of moderation. I have learned that if I can't add something to the post by commenting, I pass on it. If it's a subject that I would not be searching for, I don't leave a comment. I think it's very tempting for people to just try to plow through comments and try to get done with as many as possible and not really take time to do it right. Is every comment I leave perfect? Absolutely not. At times I have started writing a comment, and then I realize I really don't have much to say, and I will scrap it.
Anyway, sorry for the rant, but I think quality comments are important and I hope people will really take this to heart.
Thanks for sharing this!

Good info Garen. I think I would add to leave more than a sentence or two, or a question. I have had a few comments/questions that were one liners. It is easy enough to pick out a few things in the blog post that were interesting, or that you didn't know about prior to reading. Show that you at least read the article, and you are interested in it's content. Tom
