Verifying your website on Bing shouldn't take long, it's very similar to that of Google Analytics. In this video, I'll walk you though on how to verify your website on Bing by copying the meta tag into your WordPress editor.

I have tried all 3 methods and am unable to verify. I get this when I try meta-tag

Meta Tag
URL http://erin-sands.com/
Verification key incorrect: make sure you place the verification tag with the correct verification key (BE57C99CF8EB69667661CB6A6F85F745) in the <head> section and before the <body> tag in your page.

Hi Erin! Really sorry for the super late reply, I might have missed the notifications. Are you experiencing the issue?

Hi Riaz,

I tried going thru the verify Bing before I watched your video because it never asked me to verify but it seemed to know about it already. So it looks verified but i never got that code to paste into my site. Any ideas about that?

Okay i add to bing, but how to add that script to wa? In account where stats and links? Where i can get that link (Code)how it's look like?

You add the code to your wordpress the same as you added your Webmasters code - underneath the 'Head' in your Editor.
I don't have a BING Code in mine but see pic and that's where you add it.
I'm off out for the day now so maybe catch you later ok.

Where do you put the code if your theme doesn't have a Header Section?

I have pasted it into a a text widget and stuck on the sidebar until verified for one of them. Bing can be done through the All-in-one if you have that.

Marie is right Robert, All-in-one plugin can help you out with that and using the text widget helps too. Just paste there, wait for it to verify and you can delete the text already.

Thank you. Its just the particular theme I am using does't have the Header php.
Will try it in a widget and if it works great, if not, change my theme.
Thanks for getting back to me.

I have Google Analytics script right below the <head>. Do I paste my Bing code before or after that script?
Reply
Riaz Premium
Above or below it doesn't matter Vonnie, as long as both codes are below <head>, it should be okay. All the best!
