Hi Henry,
Thanks for the tutorial. I kept on clicking on Domain instead of URL prefix. Once I did that it “auto verified” without going through all the steps. But I am not sure why it’s not showing any data. I have two websites. The newer website is not showing any data. My articles have been indexed. But at least it’s verified

Hi Henry,
Thank you for the tutorial. I have a problem with the Theme Files. It said if I continued doing this myself I could break the site so that scared me off. So is this safe to do or should I just leave it alone? I'm thinking I will leave it alone.

Ok, the instruction on Google Search Console reads: "Copy the meta tag below, and paste it into your sites home page. It should go in the <head> section, before the first <body> section.

That's what has been done when pasting the code in the screenshots. And it worked for me.

But I'll do a quick modification of the screenshot and show the exact same place where Kyle in his video pasted it. Do this:

1.) In step 13, instead of pasting it in line 20, click Enter.
2.) Paste the code in the new line that appears (line 21 in the case of the screenshot).
3.) </head> will move to line 22 in the case of the screenshot.

Sorry, Henry. I thought it was working then realized it wasn't. I followed Kyle's video. I don't know. I'm pretty flustered with the whole thing right now. This happens to me a lot. I'll let it sit and hope that it will work later. Thank you so much for trying to help. It's appreciated.

I haven't really gotten any messages. I just put the code in like it says to do and I verify it but it says failed.

Thanks for this training. Few days ago, I was struggling to get it verified too. But I did not use this method, as I wasn't sure where to paste the code, the header and tail languages confuse me! I think i chose the HTML tag, and copied the HTML code, and paste into the WordPress All-in-One SEO Settings, under the Google Search Console dialogue box. Press "update". Then go back to Google Search Console and "verify it". it worked for me.

After you verify your website with Google Search Console you have to submit the sitemap of your site to Google Search Console. This is even easier than the verification process. If you would like to check how to submit sitemap, check this out:
