Now I am well aware that WA has site content and that when you publish content through site content that it checks for plagiarism.

However there are times when I personally need to check that content is unique before attempting to publish it.

Two good examples of this is when people send me guest posts to publish and when I hire a content writer.

For guest posts I need to ensure the content is unique before I approve it for publishing and request payment from the writer.

When I hire a content writer I need to check the content is unique before I make payment to the writer.

The tool that I use on a daily basis for this is on the smallseotools.com website and it is the plagiarism checker tool.

It is quick and easy to use and best of all it is free. I am a registered member on their site because I like to receive news and updates from them, however you don't have to register on their site to use their tools!

If you have any questions please leave them in the comments and I will come back to you soonest.

Thanks Lynne, I also use this and do the "company's scientific reasoning that is typically long and scientific" (Source: http://companylink.com)
However as you mentioned this in your video 5'10" onwards, I get picked up for Plagiarism in this checker even when I quote like this.
See my full question here What are my best options here:
1. Do exactly as I am doing?
2. Running the quoted science from the company through article spinning software so those two plagiarism checkers, then SiteContent and most importantly Search Engines, do not consider it duplicate content? ( just don't want the Google spiders to deem me a plagiarist)
3. Anything else?

Thanks so much

I don't see anything wrong with quotes - I will mention where I quoted from or I will use the quote option in the Wordpress dashboard. I don't believe that will cause any problems, it is when you are copying someone's work that it is a problem and I believe search engines are now intelligent enough to be able to see the difference.

Thank you Petra, I will do as you suggest "...Quoting external science source..." and always provide the backlink.
This latest blog was substantial on science and I think I did this 15-20 times!!
Thanks again .

Thanks for the training. So smart to have it checked Lynne. What a great idea to pay someone to write some posts but crazy to think they would just copy and paste.

Some of them do Gillian - I ordered some content writing services for 2 articles and both the person just sent me copy and pasted articles. Then he got angry with me when I cancelled the order on Fiverr because he said I must give him a chance to rewrite it and not just cancel without giving him a second chance! OMG no lol.

Wow. That is actually so very sad. Desperate people... It's a real thing in the writing world of fiction books. My daughter's mentor is a best selling author and I have heard some real horror stories from her.

Yes it is sad but then he got ugly with me when I said I am not interested in second rate services.... I have no time for that BS. But yes this little tool is really nifty and helpful :)
