Hello
I started using site content today, I was wondering is there any way to insert videos in your post from site content?
Reply
kdforsman Premium
Hi there, What i do is insert the embed code into my draft in SiteContent, and when I publish to Wordpress I just cut that embed code out of the visual editor and repaste in the Text editor. Hope that helps, Cheers, Karen

Thank You,
I am using the site content now to post all my blog posts, I am even making buckets for each website as I post to keep all my post more organized for me.

I have one website which I have never been able to embed videos and Amazon native ads, when I do all that appears on my website is my code. I am using the same theme on all my websites and only one website has this problem, you would not know what I could try to correct this do you?

Everyone tells me they never heard of such a problem before, I did send word to support about this but never heard anything back as of yet.

Did you try what I put above? That does sound really weird - hopefully SiteSupport can get to the bottom of it for you. Cheers, Karen

Hi
what you recommended works for my other sites, but I have this one stubborn site which even when I insert the codes in manually all you will see is the code.

I hope support checks it out and can give me some good advice, I really need to be able to use videos in the site which will not accept them with one of my promotions.
Jeff

Leave it to me to get stubborn websites

the url of the website is
http://affiliatemarketingandtraffic.com

Music Therapy And Guitars is the niche, I heard from support and they asked for my lost post url so I guess they are checking it out or going to.

Hello,
support claims my website is not accepting the full code to the Amazon links and video links but they have no answer why. They told me I will have to use text and image links, oh well I already am doing that.

Have a nice weekend

Hi Karen

I'm so glad that you setup training on how to use your bucket. I put some content in a bucket and then I could find it to use, so I gave up on using the bucket.

However, now after going through your used friendly training I'm going to try using the bucket again.

Once again thank you for this training,

God bless
Naomi

I usually write in word first (i feel comfortable having all of my post in word documents) then I copy and paste into Site content. After publsihing, I make thye adjustments in wordpress.

This has been working out for me so far even though it seems like a lot of steps.

I smile a bit as I hear your method as I used to love wordpress, but these days I seem to have moved away from it and prefer cloud based word processing products like google docs and of course SiteContent. As long as it works for you, right?
Thanks for sharing, cheers, Karen

Agreed, I think we should use the method that makes us comfortable. As long as we back up our website frequently in case technology fails.

Thanks, Karen. I've been using Site Content for a while now, but I've never really understood how to use "buckets." There's one thing about Site Content that I do not really master. When you publish a post, you have to go back and edit the post to include images, meta description, and other SEO-related stuff. I am wondering whether there's a way to do that on Site Content.

Thanks again for this great training.

Hi there,

When I create an article in SiteContent, I add all the images and Use the formating tools to create H1, H2, H3 headings etc. Then when I'm happy with the post I publish it to my website, sort out any alignment issues and flow of content and add the SEO related stuff. Hope this helps? Cheers, Karen

Thanks, Karen. I use SiteContent extensively but haven't used buckets. I can see where this would be a great organizational practice. Now that I have a lot of posts in the platform, the basic published/unpublished categorizations are getting a little unwieldy. I'll implement this today and appreciate the tips!

I have been using the buckets and they are great at keeping my post and pages organized.

I separate them by website.

It would be great if we had sub-bucket similar to files.

Hi Kim, you're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed the training. Are you using buckets within SiteContent? Cheers, Karen
Reply
kimwolfe Premium
Yes. I use buckets to organize content for different websites. However, I still feel unorganized and inefficient. I also have not reached my writing goals yet so I'm still tweaking my process to find the most efficiency.

So, I'm thinking of utilizing buckets for the theme category as you suggested (e.g. reviews, product comparisons, etc.). Each of these can utilize a different template also available in SiteContent.

I think this will help me organize content categories a bit better and streamline my post output and make it easy to add categories and tags in WP, when posting.

Also, I honestly never noticed the "published" vs. "unpublished" filter set before your training. I can't believe I missed that. #facepalm

Your training definitely gave me some additional insights.

Thanks again,

Kim

Hi Kim, I agree, it can take a while to feel like you've got a system that works for you. At this stage my buckets are by website as I have about 5 websites on the go, but I plan to break these down further or at least have a 'urgent' bucket with the articles I need to finish. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Karen
Reply
kimwolfe Premium
How long did it take you to get into a system Karen?

I totally think you have the leg up because you've always been a feverish writer.

I write fine too but too much of a perfectionist. So, I'm slow at it. I can't seem to spit out a rough draft in one sitting. I'm trying to work on that.
Reply
kdforsman Premium
Hi Kim,
rest assured, my system is not perfect yet! my problem is procrastination and also I get bored easily haha!
But to answer your question, it took me a couple of months to settle into a system that works for me, the big thing is to have a clear idea of what work I NEED to finish next - that keeps me centred and on track.
Don't be a perfectionist!! You can always go back into a post and edit and improve it later if you're not happy. The big thing is to get your content out there and ranking.
Cheers, Karen

I use the buckets and they become more important as the website grows and you have more articles to organize.
Also, easy way to see which articles have been ranked in Google and which have not been ranked.
Reply
kdforsman Premium
Hi Steven, that's a good point, do you sort your unranked articles into separate buckets? Cheers, Karen
Reply
Steven-A Premium
No, I've been sorting by website menu at the moment.

Thanks Karen. I use site contents but i havent been using the buckets. I just use a simple published / unpublished. I was wondering do you publish from site contents or do you cut and paste it across to WordPress? Cheers
Reply

Hi there, I publish directly from SiteContent to my website, including all the images (so I have the post roughly laid out how I want it), then make any final tweaks in wordpress for SEO etc. Hope this helps, Cheers, Karen
