Now that you have your Gravatar and your My Settings established, it is time to start offering comments and earning “Community Credits” for you to use in requesting comments. You will need to offer comments on two websites before you can request a comment.

When you offer a comment on a member’s website, you will earn 1 credit. You will need 2 credits to request one comment on your website. Giving thorough engaging comments, and not generic comments, will only be accepted. This is what I like about Site Comments.

NOTE: Though it is a 2-for-1 system, you can receive more than one comment. It depends on how many commenters are available. There have been many times that I have requested one comment and have received two or more comments. More about this on Page 6 of this tutorial.

You can either initiate the commenting process by clicking on the “Offer Comments” button along the top of the screen, top image, or on the green “Leave Some Comments Here!” button, see above image, which is near the bottom of the Site Comments User Interface screen.

It is at this point that Site Comments will see what content is available for comments that matches your niche interests you selected in your My Settings. Then it will display the website post as seen in the above image, with a button that says “View the Website” on top of image.

You can choose to leave a comment or you can click the “I’m Not Interested” button just below the comment area. NOTE: This will have a temporary negative effect on your ability to earn “cash” credits when you become certified. More on this in my Part 2 tutorial.

When you click the “View the Website” button that particular website page or post will open in a new tab for you to read the content. NOTE: Do NOT leave your comment on the actual website. You must leave your comment within Site Comments to earn the credit, see below image.

You will see your Gravatar and website email address just below the pictured website content, and a blank area to leave your comment. When finished click the green “Submit my Comment” button just below the comment area (not shown above) and your comment will be posted.

Once your comment is posted you will earn 1 credit and your “Comment Boost” meter will increase, see above. You need to leave 10 accepted comments for other members within a 24 hour period to give a 24 hour boost to whichever content you have posted for comments on your website.

If another website’s content is in need of comments and matches your interests within your My Settings, it will be displayed. If no relevant content is available you will see the image above. Sometimes if you wait a few minutes and click ”Try Again Now” a comment request will appear.

Just one glitch with Site Comments; if I request comments spread over time I often still get them all at once. Then I have to edit the dates myself to make them look more random.

Yes. That is the one glitch I have seen too, which is why I do not ask for more than 2 comments at a time. I have reached out to Carson about this. Hopefully it gets fixed.

Still, it's not really a big deal, hey?

No it's not but it still would be good if it worked as designed. I just contacted Kyle on Facebook and he told me to send him the bug report on Site Comment and he would get it sorted out. So I just told him what the problem was. Hopefully it gets fixed.

I find comments very helpful in getting your articles indexed.

Yes, that is one of the many benefits to getting comments. Plus Google also indexes the content of your comments and you can get ranked for any keywords that will sometimes appear in comments.

Thank you Trish. I hope it will help all those who have been turned off by the first version of Site Comments which I personally didn't use. This 2.0 version is much better.

You are welcome. Site Comment is Wealthy Affiliates awesome platform for getting quality comments on your website, but you also need to pay it forward and offer comments first. Good quality comments will always help boost the rankings of the website receiving said comments.
