If you can't find the widget and need help because the footer.php code doesn't look anything like this please feel free to send me a Private Message.
You can find the Wordpress Footer Code by clicking on Appearance > Editor in the left hand column. In the right hand column you are going to want to click on Footer.php once the Editor opens up.

I have played with this a bit but am not figuring out how to use it. I am in the middle of some other things at the moment. I do think what is here and what you are using are used differently just from the part I did read on it.
In order to use the global portion of the plugin the theme would need to be where you could put the snippet that comes with the plugin

This is also a good idea to help further prevent your site and your content from being scraped. Some Blackhat marketing software will do an extensive search and look for footprints, like the Wordpress copyright to scrape content in bulk. Thanks for sharing and all the best!
