Introduction to screenshot tools

In this training I am going to show you how to take screenshots and edit them.

First I'm going to introduce you to a screenshot tool for Windows users.
It's the Capture ScreenShot lite. It is a very simple tool that enables you to take screenshots and edit them. The advantage with this tool is that it's very easy to use and you don't have to open your screenshot in another program to be able to edit it. The disadvantage is that it doesn't have many editing options. That's why I will also show you how to take a screenshot with the tools that are already built in a Windows desktop. Doing it this way you will have more editing options but you will have to open the Paint program to edit and save your screenshot.

Why screenshots? Screenshots can be used when you're creating a tutorial or when you want to help somebody with something that is not easily described in words. I do it all the time when helping members here in WA and I love it!

Thank you, Athanasia, your training is just cut for me. But my Problem is then the step afterwards. Isn't it possible to copy and paste a screenshot ? You know, if I want to insert it for instance right here.

Hello Anne :)
No, you can't just copy it and paste it. You have to save the screenshot on your desktop and then upload it in the training by clicking on the 'paperclip' icon.

Nice & easy to learn, thank you for sharing. I saw your website, it looks awesome, I have an opportunity with a forum that has chosen to feature me on their site, they have 30K organic traffic per month. I may need a partner if you are interested, PM me if you want more details.

Hi, I am using snagit right now but having issues getting the images into the content writer? How do we paste them, I can put them in word and paint but no luck getting them into my text...

These are great tips and I will try with both the above as well!

Did you see my answer to your other question? Images cannot be pasted directly into SiteContent. They need to be uploaded -- You can either use drag-and-drop or a manual upload to copy saved image files from your computer into SiteContent.

It can get very confusing finding things -- When you open your profile page, you'll see a "Questions" tab at the top. Opening that tab displays all of the questions you've asked.. (It appears to only display questions that you have started but not questions asked in other discussion threads. The question you asked above doesn't show up.)

You have to save the images on your computer and then upload them into your post. There is a button in the editor for uploading an image.
