At some point in your blogging career, you may find yourself having chosen a niche that is too wide.

You have posted some articles and you see that everything would appear much better if you divided everything into two (or more) niches.

Dividing your blog can be done, and it is not that difficult!
It just needs some preparation and you need to do things in the right order.

In this tutorial, I will walk you through what you need to do in order to do this in the best possible way.

Hi buddy, I have been reading a lot about 301 redirects the last couple of days but I still don't understand how it doesn't count as duplicate content.
Say I wanted to add 2 or 3 posts onto another post that is similar, all I have to do is copy and paste the content on said post and 301 direct the URLs to where the content went, am I right?
Would I have to delete the content from the old URLs also?
Thanks
Matthew

This isn't a direct answer to your question, but rather one to a minor point in it... There is no duplicate content issue when you are the author of all of it.

When moving from a siterubix subdomain, I think SiteSupport can help you with the move of a complete site including comments and ranking.
(Most likely this is not a 'moving' of the site, it is more a change of where the new domain is pointing.)

If moving single posts and wanting to keep comments, you can do an export/import like suggested in a comment below.
I will update the training to mention this.

Hi Jorn, Thank you for your reply. You know I actually had not thought about contacting SiteSupport on this one.
You are right of course that would be an easy #1st question to ask.

Thanks for the tips. I have still book marked this training in case I need it. Cheers
