How to Set Blog Rolls To Summary With A Picture Showing

For some weeks I struggled setting my Blog Roll to Summary Format and then when I worked this out, the picture at the top of my blog disappeared.

Here is a simple step by step, mainly pictorial training, building on the lessons I learnt.

The blog roll is typically your home page where you place your posts rather than your pages. My posts were very long, making for a very long blog roll which is why I originally had to set the blog to summary or "Excerpts" as it is referred to in Word Press.
