Thanks Lynne.

A thorough training on setting up Pinterest is definitely needed. It's not one of the easiest Social media platforms to contend with in my opinion.

I had so many issues just creating the account. It seems to want to link to other accounts I have open so I find it best to log out of everything before I start.

Following your training, I've noticed that some of the settings on Pinterest have already changed - I wonder if they're using their Business Model as a beta for better things to come!

As with any website they will continue to bring out updates all the time so things will always look slightly different!

HI Lynne
After an hour of trying to set up Pinterest, I have decided to abandon the attempt.
It is without doubt the most confusing and unhelpful site I have ever seen.
I am not a dummy and have had no problem setting up and using other platforms, but this has tried my patience to the limit.
I have used all my self control in not throwing my laptop out of the window and when I calm down I will try once again to delete the Pinterest account I may or may not have set up.

Cheers for now

Terry

I had the same problem with Pinterest saying I had set up an account when I didn't.
I reached out to support who managed to get it resolved after a few emails.

I will follow Lynne's training to see if I can get past just 'having a Pinterest' account.
So far, so good.

I've often had struggles with things and wanted to abandon my attempts but I have always come back and conquered it eventually. Jackie said she had the same issue and contacted their support. Maybe take a break then give that a go?

Yes maybe but I don’t need Pinterest right now so I don’t currently feel like wasting valuable time on it.

HI, I have my Pinterest red sign on my website but if I click it, it would not go directly back to my Pinterest account. What do I do? Am I missing something?
Reply

It sometimes does that. What I did is just download it again from Pinterest.

Are you talking about the Pin It button? Or your social media share/follow buttons? Which plugin are you using and have you set it up which your Pinterest details?

Hi Lynn, I have an account already on Pinterest but not business account could I use that account? It is supposed to be my business account but I signed in the as the personal account.

Easy Peasy! Just click on those 3 dots on the top right hand of your Pinterest page and a drop down will come up and click on "switch to business" :)

I've attached a screenshot for you!

Hi Lynn, I did it already. It is really challenging. I just so new with all of this. I am really slow but I am trying. We'll see if how that goes. I am determined. :)

Thank you.

Hello Lynn. I just went through the account set up. The only thing I did different is I verified my account by copy and pasting the code into the All In One SEO general setting area. I only copied the code inside the quotation marks for the SEO confirmation. It appeared to work. Thanks

Thanks Trevor, I wasn't aware that it could be done that way!

I got the verification check mark. Its in All in one SEO > General setting >scroll down to The Web Master tab > paste in the code and then go to the very bottom and update options. I saw that spot when I set up the Google analytics. I am really enjoying your training. It really takes the confusion out of this. Thanks

Can you change it? Yes there is an option to change it but I can't remember where. Maybe have a look in your settings. If you can't find it just let me know and I will find it and let you know where! I am just on my way out to fetch my kids :)

Thanks, I will look in the settings to see if I can change it.

One of my websites is in the area of Make Money Online niche. I have been following the Affiliate Bootcamp and my No. 1 program in my website is WA. Is my website acceptable in Pinterest?
Reply
LynneHuy Premium
Your website will be acceptable on Pinterest but you won't be able to pin links directly to Wealthy Affiliate. I just discussed that in latest video I did on Pinterest about adding pins.

I have a make money online website too and yes I do Pin all my blogs to Pinterest and I get some traffic but my main concern is my mommy blog.

Pinterest is especially popular with women, predominantly mommy bloggers and with niches like parenting, weddings, food and health. That is not to say that men and other niches won't do well... but it is something to possibly keep in your mind when posting on Pinterest.

For my online marketing website while I publish images that I feel it my post and are appealing to me and I hope others I have at times posted completely different images to Pinterest for those posts... so I might use the image of a women working at her laptop :)

Great, I used it for set it up. But one question, it have been increable difficult to see the cost. In this video I saw Price changes on your Pins.
Do you know what it costs?
Reply
LynneHuy Premium
Hi Johann

There is no cost associated with Pinterest :) I saw that price option and I have seen it a number of times on Pinterest. I have not used that option before, but I believe that is for when you post products and then you can add a price tag. I will have a look at that.

For sharing blog posts on Pinterest like I do there would be no need for that option :)

Great! Have you downloaded the Pin It Button yet? Then I just added some training on Pinnable Images here: If you are not sure how to use Canva (because that training was more on about the size of the image and how I make it look) then here is training on Canva: Then you can start creating your Boards :) I have more training to follow!

That was awesome..! I can't wait to "do it right" like you show here! I look forward to further training from you on Pinterest.. I have been wondering how / if one can attach a link to photos that are posted on Pinterest ...
Reply
LynneHuy Premium
Yes of course you can! That is the whole point of Pinterest - if someone clicks on your image they are taken to your website post :)

I will go through all of that soon!

Hi Lynne, thanks for sharing. If you have a few niches on different websites, is it better to create a few pinterest accounts to serve different niches or to just put all in one single account but create different boards for the different niches?
Reply
LynneHuy Premium
I would advise both and I will be getting to that with the training!

Set up one personal account, then set up a Business account for each website you have.

From your personal account create loads of boards and then you invite your business accounts to be collaborators... which means that those boards show up on your business accounts too!

Your personal account would then have loads of boards in all your niches :)

I will add that training as soon as I can!

This is very useful. It took me ages to figure Pinterest out once. Next I would like to create a Twitter one. But one step at a time ay.

No problem at all :) Enjoy!

I need to get to Instagram too haha. But I am still playing away with Instagram. I have not had much success in the way of traffic yet. I have a lot of followers but not much traffic or engagement.

When I figure it out and master it I will share about it.

That's cool. I've not figured out traffic from it yet. But will keep working at it. Its once thing to get a click now and again but long term regular clicks seem so far away.
Reply
LynneHuy Premium
Don't worry, I will show you how to do it. It will take a little bit of work initially to get it going but once you have your technique figured out you just have to share your new content as you publish it.
