Yes, I know it has been a while since I had written part 2 of my three-part How to Sell and Make Money on eBay, but here is my final part about Collectibles. One of the top five highest selling categories on eBay, collectibles can be a rewarding niche.
POPULAR TIMELESS SELLING COLLECTIBLES
When considering selling collectibles on eBay you will have a very broad market to work with. Being that I myself am someone who has collectibles, I understand how people go crazy in buying the things that they want to possess. Just look at how much money people will spend to own a piece of history.
The above image is from an eBay auction in the beginning of 2017 of the collectible comic book The Incredible Hulk from 1974. As you can see this particular collectible comic book is in pretty good condition, and the better condition of a collectible the more money you can make on it.
When you are selling a collectible that you know beforehand will fetch a high amount of bids, it is always best to start the bidding at only 99 cents. When you do this it will entice more people to bid on your collectible. As you can see in the below image this seller started his auction for the comic book at $0.99, as indicated by the green area at the bottom of bid screen.
The seller listed this comic book for $0.99 on January 23, 2017 at 19:48:12 or 7:48:12 PM PST. By 20:15:54 or 8:15:54 PM PST the first bid was made and it was for $333.33, as indicated by the orange area. A little more than a minute later another member placed a bid for $700.00 as indicated by the blue area. The 8 bids in between are by two other members.
This is just one example of how much collectors are willing to spend for what they wish to possess. Comic books of superheroes are just one of the many popular and timeless collectibles. But not all collectibles in this category will fetch this high amount of money. It varies in price depending on what it is and its condition.
Below is a brief list of popular and timeless, meaning their demand never ends, collectibles that can make you some moolah if you have or can find any. Sometimes you can get lucky and find things at garage and estate sales because many times people sell old things that they have no idea is actually worth something.
