To return to Classic Editor in Wordpress, first go to your back office, and click on Plugins. Then choose the Classic Editor plugin. It is blue and white, with 3 little stripes.

Hey Diane,
Thanks for this training. I don't understand the block WordPress format so this is helpful.

Tried and True

I didn't understand it, either, & was so glad to get back to Classic!

Diane does the same hold true for new websites? I see that I can apply this to my first website, the one before Wordpress went to a block format, but will we have a choice to use the classic editor with these websites we built after the change to block?

Yes, it's my understanding you can use Classic with new & old websites, just so long as you follow my training, it should reinstate Classic & get rid of Block.

Hope this helps.

And, don't forget to "deactivate" the classic editor when you're not using it. You don't want to slow down your page load times.

You only need it activated when you are writing or editing articles.
