Using the right category for your blog posts is vital for good user experience. Wordpress default the category to uncategorised this isn't good user experience so in this video I go through two different ways to remove this category.

Thanks Martin!
Is there a need to have posts separated into multiple categories, or is having them all in a category that matches the niche of the site (cat posts) ok?

The more categories you do have the easier it is for visitors to find other topics. Have a look at what you have written about already and see if you could add a category for the topic. Of course if you can only write one article per topic then you need to decide if its worth it but anything that makes people stay on your site and visit more pages always helps.

Thanks, Alan, In my opinion, seeing uncategorized tells me this person is not sure about what he or she is writing about. If you are trying to be an expert in your niche you should know what category to use. Some people forget to choose one and it defaults to uncategorized. Doing the above will stop that happening creating a better user experience.
