I have my own selling group on Facebook but I am also a member of various selling groups around the UK and USA where I post my choices of listings.
In the beginning I joined 5 a day as joining more than this and posting on groups more than 25/30 ties a day got me banned for 3 days on numerous occasions, showing it is easy to get carried away!
So no more than 5 a day in the beginning.
for postings I usually post 3 times a day, depending on time difference but I will post around 9:30am lunchtime and again around 9:30pm.
I only post to 10 groups at a time so I am spreading my posts out as in the past I have been banned for to many frequent posts!

Why not create a landing page with a lead magnet to collect emails before sending prospects to amazon or ebay (or any affiliate offer)?
This way, you're not having to post an affiliate link on any social media.
The link you post will only be the squeeze page (email capture page).
Triple whammy.

That's a good point with the emergence of the market place and the tweaking of the categories its a good place to sell and cut those listing fees out.
that was why I started to link the products to the selling groups its so much easier and I make just as many sales.
as long as your sensible and don't exploit the rules its fine.
