I am doing this training as one of my referrals asked me,

"Can I promote WA on my site even though it is a niche site?"

Some people may say yes, others say no however I believe you can do it, but in a very subtle way.

One thing I would think about is whether to use the WA banners here. And not because they aren't good, but because I reckon that most are definitely geared towards the "make money niche sites."

In saying that however, there is probably one or two banners that are okay and one of them says;

"This little Square can change your life today" (because it does not have money images or $$ signs in)

I do use a few of the banners, however my site was built via Affiliate Boot camp and in the money making space.

But if you have let's say, a "Cat Toys" website. Then these banners are probably not going to suit your audience.

But...there is a way round it.

So read on, and I will give you some ideas of where I would point back to Wealthy Affiliate on a niche site.

How do I add the link inside the Aothor bio?

Simply by adding html code, something like the following with the spaces removed. With the spaces there, your computer will attempt to perform this code here in this reply. :)

< a h r e f = " the web address " > here. < / a >

At the top of the screen when you are logged into WA, there is a "search for help here..." function, use that to see if someone else reported this and documented the solution.

I did that and found the following discussion: Following the discussion I found this:
Question: Hi, I followed your instructions, added a new user , changed role to Administrator then saved changes. But then all goes back with out changing role.It want accept it, I get msg ERROR: Please enter the same password in both password fields. I cant see where I need to insert password. Can you help please?

Answer:thank you for posting this question and I just noticed that I'm behind with updating this training. I'm going to do this asap.

WordPress has since changed and you have now two additional settings when creating a new user account.

Between "Website" and "Role" you'll now find "Password" and "Send User Notification".

However, the error is new to me and I never got it on my end. This is how I create a new user account with the current WordPress version:

1) Follow page 2 of this training.

2) Put a check in the box next to "Send User Notification", so that WordPress can email user account data to the email you've typed into the email field (I'm assuming the user account is your secondary admin account).

3) Set the "Role" to "Administrator".

4) Click "Add New User" (Blue Button)

This should now work without an error message. The password is auto-generated and you can't choose it. It will be emailed to you if you've enabled "Send User Notification".

I presume you're using hosting here at WA. Once the new user is created, it should show up here under "SiteManager". You either see the new user and the password, giving you the option to log in or it shows the user name and you have to "synchronize" it to use the log in feature here at WA. There will be a green button saying "Synchronize".

Please note that this will change the password once again. If, for what reason ever, this doesn't work and you still receive the same error, you'll need to contact WA tech support as this is a WordPress specific error they can fix for you.

If you don't host here at WA and you encounter the same problem, you'll have to contact the tech support of the web host company you're using. :)

Hope this helps and let me know if that fixed the error and you could successfully create a new user account. Also, make sure you're creating the new user while logged in with another Administrator account. This is important or it won't let you create a new user.

If the above does not work, then this is one for WA tech support. They can be reached at the following link:

Hi Sharon, thanks for sharing! I agree with you, it's off-putting to visit a niche website and stumble on unrelated banners promoting something else.

The ways you mention here are really subtle though, I'm going to use your tips :)
