Update: (1/16/16) It's come to my attention that GoDaddy did an update to the look and feel of your GoDaddy dashboard.

Not to worry. The principles I present here are still the same.
1 - log in to your GoDaddy account.
2 - look for "domains" and click on manage.
3 - unlock your domain name.
4 - look for the "name server" icon and click on that (above your domain name).
5 - click on "custom."
6 - put the Wealthy Affiliate name servers into the custom boxes and click save.
7 - Wait about 15 to 30 minutes and return to WA and follow the instructions in this tutorial.
8 - Finally, return to GoDaddy and lock your domain name again.

*************************************************************************************************

This is a step by step guide for pointing your domain name to your SiteRubix website if you registered your domain name on GoDaddy.

The process might seem scary at first if you have never done it before. Just relax and take it slow. Everything will be fine and you will not break anything.

Configuring a domain name hosted at GoDaddy and pointing the name at SiteRubix is a two step process.
Step one: configure your domain name at GoDaddy.
Step two: Configure your SiteRubix website.

The reason I bring this up is because the process of pointing a domain name hosted at GoDaddy is different than the tutorials I reviewed here at WA.

I have had multiple domain names at GoDaddy for years. I have had to point them at different website hosts over the years too.

I just configured grampamike.com and www.grampamike.org
to point to my SiteRubix website tonight and I was surprised to find the process is much simpler on GoDaddy's control panel but the tutorials here at WA were not updated. So I thought I would give everyone a heads up.

I was looking at my profile blog on this subject and decided it was too important to leave as just a post. I decided to summon the courage to make my first tutorial out of this topic.

This is my first stab at becoming a famed WA author, lol.

You would have laughed had you seen me. I made the first page and clicked "save." Poof, my draft was gone. I had no idea where it went.

I looked all over the place. My draft was nowhere to be found. Geez, all that work down the drain. Then I saw a funny obscure link called "training." Ok, it's hot and I'm tired. Click on the training link and of all things there was my draft.

I didn't stop there. I drafted my first page. I was really proud. I suddenly realized I had no idea how to make page 2. I hunted. I pecked. I saved the draft. I must have sat for 20 minutes stewing over how to make page 2.

Ah hem, anybody heard of the BIG green button at the bottom that says something like "next page?" Dumb thing was there all the time.

Don't tell anyone but I think I just lost my guru status.
