Keeping track of all of the subject and individual courses, lessons, and materials you want to learn from can be difficult, and overwhelming. I don’t like using Evernote for this, as it is very cluttered, Pinterest is often too distracting, and OneNote works best for notebook style notetaking, not for capturing learning material.

That is why I use Trello, which I can customize any way I see fit.

As promised, here is a link to the Learning Board, I created for this training, including some of the lessons, and materials you may find interesting as well: https://trello.com/invite/b/BN...

If you are new to Trello, watch my Trello 101 video here on WA:

And if you are interested on learning how I used Trello as an editorial calender, here is another WA training specifically for that: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-use-trello-as-an-editorial-calendar

Hope you enjoyed this short video.

Blessings!

Claudia

Hey Claudia,
I just signed up to Trello. May I ask a couple questions?
Is Trello similar to Pintrest in that it is a social network? Are my boards accessible to others viewing or are they private? Is Trello a place to use as a storage unit for my folders and pages as is OneDrive? Sorry for all the questions. Again, thanks!

Howard, please don't apologize for asking questions, I am happy to answer them to the best of my ability.

You can set Trello boards as private, team visible, and as public. Either way, only when you share the link that is in the menu of the individual board, or when you invite a team member to a board, is it visible, with the exception of public boards, which will show up in the Google search engine. Boards are set as private unless you change the setting. Each time you create a board, there is an option right at the beginning to change the privacy, as well.

While you can add as much material and organize all of your files any way you want to, which also means you can brain dump pretty much everything into a card, or a list, I find that a little too overwhelming, so let me tell you what I do.

For braindump stuff, receipts and other stuff I need to keep for a while, I use Evernote Premium, to organize my daily to do lists, keep lists of future blog posts, or anything else I would use a notebook for, as well as some related info, I use OneNote. I write all of my blog posts in Google Drive, and attach them to a note in my Editorial Calendar board for the individual website, and also add it to my To-Do-List board, once it has a due date - that way I can see everything easily in the Trello calendar view.

It is not a social network at all - but what it can be is, that if you have a team (Virtual Assistance or other team members) you can add them to a team board, and therefore share important information and links in real time.

I also created a training board for my VA's, so instead of having to explain the way I want a particular thing done, I can add them to the training board, and share with them that particular workflow and a set of instructions)

Did you see both of the other Trellot training videos I created? Those help you go through the basics of setting up a calendar view, what extensions I use to make Trello even more useful, and how to create an Editorial Calendar.

I hope that answered some of your questions.

Please feel free to ask more, if needed.

Blessings!

It's amazing. I've just thought that there is so much information which I'd like to absorb. But I had no idea how to organize all material in the right order. Appreciate for the great support.

I am the Queen of Information Overload, lol. It's hard not to fall down the rabbit hole of info that is out there, and not feel totally lost. I am glad I was able to provide you with a resource, that makes it a little easier. Blessings!
