1) Use On-page SEO

This involves placing an exact keyword match in your title, meta description, URL, subheading, the first paragraph of your content. It also involves proper optimization of your images by adopting right image types, size and naming. These are tactics you must adopt to rank on Bing.

Although they are tactics that will work for Google SEO, so adopting such measures are best practices. Bing lays its priority on exact keyword match, but you will not do this at the expense of presenting a user-friendly content.

2) Quality and consistent content

To rank on this search engine, quality content is not negotiable. Ensure that your content easily readable and user friendly. It should be a focus on quality and not the irrelevant length of words. It is not to undermine the place of writing illustrative and rich worded content. You should aim at writing not less than 2,100 words for your blog post. But much emphasizes is on quality content done consistently.

So doing, you will avoid what is called pogo-sticking. Pogo sticking is a bad metrics like bounce rate. It occurs when a user lands on your content and clicks the back button to return to the search page. It is an indication that your content is not relevant

I just need to share that if Google suspects you are optimizing for Bing, they will punish you. I've seen it happen. So just be prepared for that.

Thank you Jean for the time taken to see the training. Optimizing for Google does not stop you from optimizing for other search engines.

Like I mentioned in my introduction both search engines prioritize user friendly content and you will see that my first points and priority are centred on user-friendly content and on-page optimization.

Likewise in my conclusion, I emphasized on "not optimizing on Bing against Google", rather we should take advantage of both search engines for our business.

As marketers, we should and must strive to enjoy traffic from as many platforms as possible. As long as they are genuine, human traffic that will improve and contribute to our bottom line.

Once again, I appreciate your time taken to see the training

There are differences in priorities in the algorithms of Google and Bing, hundreds/thousands of tiny decisions made based on your content. User-friendly content is quite general, while the individual algorithm nuances are quite specific. Yes, I agree we want to take advantage of as many opportunities as possible, and if someone wants to make changes for Bing, go for it. I just want them to be warned that Google is not a benevolent master.

Very true, I also found Bing webmester easy to use. I found the platform easier to navigate than that of Google. But we must take advantage of both platforms. Google has a juicy amount of traffic
