For example, if you were promoting the Strip That Fat campaign and you had multiple signatures in different weight loss forums, then how can you determine where which forum resulted in more clicks and which converted the best? Your root folder is your domain name folder. If your domain name is mysite.com, that is the root folder.

In the case of the http://www.mysite.com/recommends example, then mysite.com/recommends is the root folder. I had to have some way of referring to this folder, so I just used "root folder" for the example.
