PAGE 1 = Why you should write your WA Blog like your website content

PAGE 2 = Ways your WA Blog can make you money

PAGE 3 = How I use my WA Blogs inside my website content

PAGE 4 = Why Google will not consider your WA Blog an Affiliate Link

Everyone here at WA uses the blogging system to share a variety of information. Though the blog information should never be about any kind of self-promotion it can be about the promotion of WA. The reason for this is obvious, because no one can benefit from promoting WA to members who are already members.

However if you do write a blog that promotes WA it can be beneficial to you but to further your chances you will need to write it like you would your website content. Now you maybe wondering why a WA blog should be written like your website content and the answer is two-fold.

RANKINGS AND EXPOSURE

About 70% percent of the WA blogs that I write here within the community, I do so just like my website content. I first think of what low competition keyword I will use for my blog title, I make sure I repeat it in the first paragraph, and perhaps repeat it again should the blog have over 1,000 words.

The reason I do this should be obvious. I want my WA blog to get high Google rankings so it can get as much search engine traffic exposure as possible. The higher the rankings, the more exposure and the more exposure, the higher the chance that it will be clicked on and I may get a referral to WA.

I have a real quick question. I clicked on this link from a different post and in that blog you said anything can rank with a .com where does that come into play with our blogs ranking if we don't write something with a .com?
Reply
boomergp08 Premium
I didn't say anything can rank with a .com. I said anything written on WA can get indexed with a .com.
Reply
Melissa901 Premium
OOO Okay I misunderstood. So does google automatically put a .com to it then?
Reply
boomergp08 Premium
My mistake. I did say it can get ranked but the member's question was about getting indexed which is different than rankings.

What I mean by a .com is that anything with a .com will get indexed in Google. And if you incorporate good SEO into it, it will get ranked.

It is not up to Google to place a .com on anything. A .com comes from you when you buy a domain name. It also comes from the platform you create your content within like WA.

Just look at the website URL at the top of this training tutorial page. Do you see the following? https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com

All of the WA blogs, trainings, and discussions we create here will have this URL preceding our post titles. We do not have to place that .com there because it automatically is put there by WA.

Now because our WA blogs have this .com, they will get indexed in Google. And if we create them using low competition keywords like we do on our websites, they will get ranked.
Reply
Melissa901 Premium
O okay that answers me now thank you I wasn't understanding would see it as .com if we didn't put it. But now I understand it is part of WA. Thank you

Thanks so much for this Robert! It is super helpful! I am relatively new to WA and wondering if you could elaborate on what you mean by setting up a welcome message. Or if there is another tutorial you could point me in the direction of I would greatly appreciate it!
Reply

Everyone who joins WA gets a welcome message from the person who referred them and one from Kyle or Carson, if they are not the one's who referred you. Just look at the first comment on your profile.

The below link tells you where and how to set up your welcome messages.

Hi Robert.

This post is a great reminder of just how helpful these links can be. Having said that though, I didn't realize we didn't need to add our aff. link to our own content. (We learn something every day)

I do have a question though, that maybe you can clear up.

I recently added a WA blog link in a new post.
I then used my iPad, which isn't linked to my WA acct, to check if it was working OK.
I found I wasn't able to view the content without opening a WA trial account. Is this how it should work?
My thinking was that we could share WA content to potential customers as an indication of the sort of training and support they could receive as members.
I think asking them to sign up first could be a bit off-putting.

I'd appreciate your (or anyone else's) comment on this.

Cheers. Thomas (tudogz)

That's how it is, I checked too. I think it's not that much of a problem due to the sign up is for free.
Reply
boomergp08 Premium
We can share WA content with anyone outside of WA, but they can only read what we share. They cannot click through to any other pages or other parts of the website, otherwise they will be presented with the join WA pop up.
Reply
tudogz Premium
Thanks, Rob.
Actually, I found the answer to my own question.
I realized the article I was trying to share was listed as Training.
I swapped it for a blog and I'm able to share that OK.
So there's the answer; we can share members' blogs, but not training. (without them having to sign up, that is)
It was a one page blog, I'm not sure what would happen if they tried to click through to the next page.
Reply
boomergp08 Premium
They would get the same join WA pop up they received about 15 seconds after first reading the page.
Reply
tudogz Premium
That's true, but when I was trying to view the training, the pop-up was blocking me from seeing the article and I couldn't click it away.
I could with the blog.
I'm assuming that's to keep training from being viewed by outsiders, which is fair enough IMHO.
Reply
boomergp08 Premium
I didn't think there was any difference between the two. I know that only the first page of the training is visible and only if that training is not a Premium Only training, like the ones Jay creates.

I will have to check that out with the trainings, comparing the reactions with both non-Premium Only and Premium Only tutorials. Perhaps they react differently with the pop up.

You are welcome Lauren. Many members still do not know the advantages of our WA blogs, especially since anyone online can see them, and not just WA members.

This is why it is a smart idea to blog about something associated with WA and use keywords in the title for better rankings.

Yes Stefan,

You can share your WA blog on your own website, on social media, via email or any other way my Friend. Because it goes to your post, you will get credited with the WA referral as well.

Posting referral links here within the community isn't allowed, on your website they absolutely are allowed Stefan.

If you are talking about WA affiliate banners and links, you can only post the banner images in a WA blog. It would make no sense to post the affiliate links in the WA blog.

Anyone outside of WA would not be able to click on them and WA members have no need to. If a non-WA member clicks anywhere on a WA blog they will be directed to join WA.

If you want them to join WA, just tell them to click the green Join Now buttons at the top or bottom of the screen. Even if they should click anywhere on the screen they will see the WA Join form appear.

I have the starter membership and not the premium. When I publish my blog using your link how do I attach my ID to the end since when I paste your link in my post it cuts off. Before I copy your link do I add my affiliate ID and then copy the link? Since I have the basic membership, how do I track my website activity? Would I be able to use programs such as Clickbank on my site, and how do I add banner ads to my site since I have the basic membership?

You do not need to add your affiliate ID at the end of the link because WA has done that for you already.

If you want to share the affiliate link to this blog or any other blog on WA, just go to the top of the screen, just under the blog title.

You will see a button that says . Click that button and then copy that affiliate link. It will have your ID number at the end of it.

Robert,

Thank you for the info. I did not know that we can get referrals through our blog posts. That's great. After reading this blog I am a little confused about the following statement:

YOU TOO CAN MAKE MONEY
It does not matter if you are promoting WA with a Boot Camp website or you are building a different niche website, ALL OF YOU can benefit from creating WA blogs,

Does this mean that I have to have two separate websites: one a Bootcamp website and a separate niche website? Can I add the Bootcamp content to my present niche website?

Roy
Reply
Royalkey Premium
At the present time I am doing both the Certification Course for my niche website, and I am also just starting Bootcamp because I want to become a WA affiliate. Do I need to do both?
Reply
boomergp08 Premium
Unless your niche website is similar in nature to the make money from home niche, then it would not be advisable to add bootcamp content to your niche website.
Reply
boomergp08 Premium
Again, a bootcamp website is different than a regular niche website. A bootcamp website promotes solely WA. Any member does not have to do a bootcamp website to promote WA and get referrals. That is the purpose of this tutorial.

But the optimum way to promote WA is by creating a bootcamp website where you can use multiple WA affiliate links in various forms.
Reply
Royalkey Premium
Thank you. First I will complete the Certification Course for my niche and then enroll in Bootcamp at a later date.
Reply
boomergp08 Premium
That is exactly what I did because it gave me a better foundation to know fully how WA works. Then once I personally knew I had a better understanding of how to effectively promote it.

Reply
boomergp08 Premium
You are welcome. The majority of members do not realize the potential they have for making money through their WA blogs.

All any premium member would need is to sign up only 3 referrals to premium memberships and the money they would make every month from those 3 referrals would pay for their premium membership with an additional $21.50 in their pocket.

Robert, sorry I caught up with your valuable training only now. As per usual, this training session of yours is easy to understand and to the point, and as per usual I did enjoy it.

However I'm not quite clear on a point you raise in your last page, regarding Google not seeing the link with no ID to my own blogs as affiliate links. Does Google Plus read the non-ID'd link in the same way?

I'm already on the poop up warning window on my G+ account, which is most annoying as it keeps flagging up every time I click on my account. On zone other hand, I do understand that you can gain much exposure from G+, but I am trying to find out whether I could post my WA blogs on this platform without having to be further penalised.

Thank you
Giulia
Reply
boomergp08 Premium
You are welcome. No need to apologize for coming to the training late, it is always here when you are ready.

You cannot post ANY links from WA on G+ because it will be blocked and they will see it as spam. It does not matter if your link is an affiliate link or not. If it is a WA link it will get blocked.

You have a better chance at exposure for WA links on Facebook and Twitter, not G+ or Pinterest.

I have a question. If you are doing a bootcamp website, why would you want to promote the benefits of WA here at WA blog rather than your own website?
Reply
2VETS Premium
According to the training your WA Blog can get indexed in google,so if someone clicks on your WA blog from google and they sign up, you will get the referral credit. Also google does not see your WA Blog as an affiliate page filled with affiliate links, so this will help your rankings for that WA Blog. Go back and read the training, boomergp08 explains it much better than I.
Reply
boomergp08 Premium
You want to do both because your WA blogs get indexed into Google much quicker than your website content and it is a more direct access point to WA.
Reply

Reply
boomergp08 Premium
Blogging here at WA is important and powerful if done correctly. Blogging just for the sake of writing something is not going to be effective at getting any referrals.

A non-member is not going to be reading a WA blog about inspiration or motivation or even my Sunday humor blogs and want to join WA.

But if the blog is touting the benefits of WA and/or providing information on ways to make money from home using the services at WA, than that would be a far better approach.
Reply

Thanks for the info. I wanted to do this by taking my WA blog article and posting a synopsis on my website linking back to my WA blog. Then I wanted to share my website article/link on social media, but I'm concerned that if they click on the link in social media and it takes them to my website and then my website doesn't have the full article and they have to click again to the WA blog so that I get credit for a referral that they're not going to click through. I didn't want to put just a link on social media to the WA blog and then they miss out on info I have on my website. I'm doing good to get one article written, let alone two and have just been trying to get more bang for my buck. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this without having to write two separate articles?
Reply
boomergp08 Premium
There is always going to be that chance that someone will not click through, but one is better than none in my opinion.

Depending on how you word your post and your blog, if you make your website post compelling enough that the reader would want to click the link to the WA blog, then perhaps that would increase the chance of a click through.

It all comes down to experimenting, especially when it comes to using social media for sharing.

Hmmm. I never really thought of the profile blogs here being a good resource to prompt more clicks. Thanks for sharing!

Not so muche clicks but rather affiliate referrals to WA so that you could earn money every month.

I haven't been very active on my WA Blog. I've been spending a lot more of my available time on site content and updates to accommodate a change in affiliation strategy.

My WA rank of course has suffered, but I'm ok with that. What you've said Robert is compelling enough to spend a little more time on my WA Blog sharing the incredible benefits of WA membership.

It couldn't hurt Dennis because who knows, you could get a WA referral down the road if the blog is written well enough using low competition keywords. And though we cannot place links to our websites in our blogs it could indirectly bring traffic if you were to talk about your niche.
