This video training has one simple goal...

To help YOU understand the process of making money online.

It is actually more simplistic than you think. Although there are many ways in which people are creating successful businesses online, there is one core component to any successful business, a website.

In this video I walk you through the process right from the initial audience, to the search in Google, to the website, to the niche, to the types of programs that you are going to be promoting to generate revenue.

There are many ways that you can earn a full time income online once you understand the fundamentals and this video is going to clarify what the fundamental process is.

If you have any comments or questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to give you a hand.

A product review website seems a clever idea, to combine it with affiliate links just right next to the reviews. It makes it very easy to the costumers and provides them a fantastic purchasing experience. BUT, how can you create content in a review website? I mean, of course, you cannot buy all the products you're affiliate with and write down sooo many reviews by yourself.
Reply
onmyownterms Premium
Actually, you do write the reviews yourself. There is training here on the site that teaches you how to write good reviews, even if you don't own the product.
Reply
You mean...to write reviews of products that I have not even tried? What kind of REVIEWS are they?
Reply
onmyownterms Premium
Yes, there are many people here who build reviews for products that they do not own by researching the web. (I don't do this personally). There is training on this site on how to do that.

I was thinking that I'd like to start a baby/house sitting business online. It wouldn't cost a lot of money to start it up and the overhead would be low and the employees would work for minimum wage or less. Just finding qualified employees such as college students and younger clientele would be a challenge. I haven't got a name for the business as of yet and i would need help with the websites. Let me know what you think and get back to me on that. Thanks kyle

The name of your website/brand is something that you are in full control of. When you choose a domain, you are going to want to choose something that is "brandable" versus something that has keywords within it. The reason this is the case is because as you build out your website, you can target as many keywords as you like within the content (that is how you will rank).

I have created a discussion here outlining the process and what to look for when choosing a domain name: This should help you out here and if you ever want to run any domains by me, simply let me know and I will give you some feedback.

PS. You can host up to 25 of your own domains here within the Premium membership on our state of the art hosting platform. :)

Hi Kyle, thank you for the glimpse into affiliate marketing. On choosing a niche would it be helpful to get a big picture look at the companies that offer affiliate marketing as a tool for their sales. If I have an idea for a niche, wouldn't it help me to see which companies offer affiliate marketing?

With the yes and no community help, is that meant for help in composing the question or getting answers to the question?

You can pretty much assume that every single product out there has an affiliate program associated with it. Every major brand and pretty much every indie brand. You can promote every product on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, HomeDepot, Wayfair.com, AliExpress, etc simply by joining their affiliate programs.

There are over 550 MILLION products and services that you are going to able to promote as an affiliate marketer.

In level 3 of the training, when it is appropriate to learn more about this stuff (in terms of the timing in relation to your business) we cover this in detail.

Thanks Kyle for the quick and informative response.

In addition to what Kyle already said, you can also search "a product or niche + affiliate program" in Google to find specific affiliate programs for your niche if you're looking for something specific. Jaaxy also has a section that helps you find affiliate programs as well for keywords you're looking for (which is related to your niche).

Actually Jay (webinar coach) has a webinar this Friday on how to search for and use lucrative affiliate programs but please if you watch it, just know you may not understand some of what he talks about if you haven't gone through the training yet.

It's really best to follow the training as laid out and then look for affiliate programs when the training calls for it as there's much for you to do on your site before you add affiliate links.

Hi Grace, thank you for the added information. It all helps. I do like the idea of not rushing because it does help me to grasp more of the teaching and not to make big mistakes. I don't mind small mistakes because they are just teaching you something. It is the big mistakes I want to keep from making.

In everything we do we must be tactful. Some goods/services carry huge sums from each sale but these sales may be snail- paced and so our total grows in big increments very slowly. However, there are some small sales that are speedy and at the end of the day they total a bigger sum because they kept on inching forward all the time. So we need to be very analytic when choosing niche/item.

You need to remember that there are 4 billion+ people online, over 550 MILLION products and services. This is the potential that you are working with, a massive audience, and a great deal of products and services that you are promoting.

Any niche can be lucrative, and all niches have a large audience within them when you really start digging into it and research it.

This is really cool. I originally stumbled upon the Rory Ripoff site & started there. After being assigned an incompetent "Mentor" who wouldn't answer my questions & told me not to worry about it, just follow the program, I left.

The structure there was different somewhat but I really liked the concept of marketing through the affiliate programs. I'm looking forward to making this work for me.

I am familiar with the product review approach to affiliate marketing but I was not aware that one could be an affiliate of the same product through multiple sellers.

This approach seems like a win - win situation. If the customer is ready to buy the product, the marketer is sure to make the commission.

I like it!

Exactly, the same and different products. You can affiliate with any company that you like and ALL major brands, products, and services will have an affiliate program.

You can literally promote over 550 MILLION products as an affiliate, so that should give you a good idea of the opportunity that resides within the online world.

I understand the process of making money, my problem is the technical side of making money. I am an affiliate of Amazon which this is my second time because I didn't get 3 sales and of some 10 different other programs programs but whats keeping me from making $$ is putting together a great site or sites that will promote them. I have paid for a couple of my websites but WA has to teach me good blogging skills and how to make them good as far as SEO and traffic that I don't have to be in my emails all the time to get credit to earn a banner to place on my website. So, I'm thrilled about what I'm learning so far and can't wait till next Friday to be premium. Have to cut myself out of some other programs that aren't helping me, just taking a lot of my $$.

Why would the customer use my website when he can go directly to Amazon (Or other large seller)? Personally, when I Google an item and see it on Amazon I always go there first. In other words, do we provide any type of incentive to use our site?

Reading the Q/A'S it seems we blog about an item we are familiar with, then we provide a link to purchase that item. Is this the general idea?

This video was excellent. The information was laid out so clearly you make it sound as if as long as I follow the steps WA teaches my website will (almost) build itself!

People will come to your site if they want to find out about the product eg: if I want to know what is a good watch to buy I honestly won't go and search on amazon watches.i would go on google and search best watches for women or something to that effect.this is the same way you'll draw people to your site.

Hey , I love love love amazon and will go there for 95 Percent of my purchases outside food ( which amounts to 2-3 times a week . Than with food I will do a prime now at least once a week ...BUT even than if it’s a big purchase I will step outside if prime to research specific information...if I land on your site I will click your link to view what you are talking about it( if you click then you have a window if a certain time to purchase ... if I add it to my cart go
Look at later all you have to is hope I buy within the next 30 days .... and I will without a doubt because that’s my buying habits lol.... you just have to get the click , hopefully a add to cart ...... from there amazon takes over .

You will get there as you go through the training, the first focus with your website is to build out the foundation, the content and get rankings. Once you have rankings and traffic then you can focus on what you are going to promote.

There are 10,000's of affiliate programs and millions of products you are going to be able to promote as an affiliate, don't ever worry about there being nothing to promote within a given niche. There will likely be 100's if not 1,000's of things you can promote. ;)

There is no sense in putting to much thought into what you are going to promote until you have content in place and an audience to promote to. You will definitely get there though!

There are lots of them out there indeed. I can assure you that here at WA we are going to be teaching you how to PROPERLY build a business online and do so within any niche.

As for the money aspect..

Everybody earns money at a different rate, so it really depends on the person. I have actually created a discussion on this that will put things into perspective for you here: Have a read of that, I know it will give you a lot of insight into this exact topic. ;)

The first month is typically your foundation building stage. In order to build a website that earns you consistent revenue, you need this foundation. After this, you are going to start seeing traffic and as you build this out, there are many different ways in which you can generate revenue.

Personally it took me into my 3rd month of busting my butt to make my first dollar online, by month 6 though I was making consistent income and by the year mark, I was almost full time.

But guess what would have happened if I quit during those first two "trying" months. I would not be where I am at today. Just wanted to put things into perspective for you.

I am in this journey with you, so is the community here at WA. If you want to jump in, work hard, take action, and persist. Amazing things can and will happen!
Reply
Exactly why I wanted to WA. Everything in your response. I looked @ the others and just looking over them - what they are trying to sell..... Obvious it would waste my time and money. Then just to make sure I researched each one. Of course, there would be post after post from people commenting on them being a waste of time and money or them barely making a return on it.

When I found WA I researched and was delighted to finally find a real program, with real people, with real step by step training to accomplish the dream everyone has. That’s why I’m so excited about this and the training.

I’m doing this for me. But mostly for my husband. He’s a blue collar concrete foreman/finisher and it’s a back breaking job. I want him to be able to enjoy life, not be exhausted and in physical pain everyday.

That being said, now you know my motivation. I have so much more but that’s one of the core reasons. Besides I have to prove him wrong! He thinks everything is a scam.

I am a skeptic about online money making programs. I actually fell for one of their scams but only lost $27. This program appears to actually educate you, the people are real people like us, and I am excited to be a part of it. Good luck in your endeavors!!!!!

I find this to be very appealing after running an Amazon business with physical inventory to manage. Basically, make a niche website that connects people to products/services they are already searching for.. then get paid for the sales that come through your links. There's beauty in simplicity... and a lot of money too from the looks of it haha.
Reply
Kyle Premium
Yeah, get rid of the idea of inventory and in many cases, expand the margins drastically. Also, you can promote what you like and want (choose from over 550 MILLION products) versus trying to sell solely your own products and dealing with all of the inventory, support, refunds, etc that come along with that.

It's simple, yet the opportunity is far bigger.
Reply
The Snack helmets was a great idea. The question I have is that I already built a website through another company and sell my handmade products on there through Paypal. Do I need to build a website on here sell the same products and affiliate through Amazon, Etsy or etc...?
Reply
Kyle Premium
What is your marketing strategy? Because you have a website, does not necessarily mean you have a business. So just be careful about that logic, a website that is built properly from the ground up is what will lead to a successful business online (and one that is scalable).

You don't have to use the website platform here if you don't want. You can use an existing site that you already have set-up with the training here or you can start fresh.

Sometimes with an existing site there may be some things that you have done in the past that could be hurting your rankings (backlinks, spun content, duplicate content, low quality content), so starting fresh and doing things properly from the start can be advantageous. But this is totally up to you.

Either way, I am here to help you along the way Jennifer!

Do you think a body building and weight loss website as one is to much and should focus on one or the other or since both require supplement use. Build around both. I don't know a whole lot about body building I can find out. I do know about supplements and how important they are for over all health. I know about weight loss having loss 40lbs in a 4 month period in 2016 and have kept it off.
Reply
Kyle Premium
Although the two go hand in hand, they are different niches. I would either head in the bodybuilding direction, or the weight loss. You can then even narrow those down even more.

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

I want to help people that ______________.

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

Sounds like a good idea to me - I can't seeing it being too complicated... That is a straightforward and clear explanation of the process: set the process in place, then "rinse and repeat" as the marketing guys say.

However, I must confess to being totally gob-smacked by the notion that people actually spend money on buying football helmet snack holders. Really? Seriously? People buy them and use them? When Kyle mentioned the topic I thought "What the hell is he talking about?" because I'd never come across it before. I'm shaking my head in amazement and laughing. My apologies to the football fans out there - I'm sorry but I just don't get it!! :-) ROFLMHO :-)

That niche example just proves that even the craziest niches can be lucrative - you just have to find them.

LOL, hey hey I bought one! People spend their money on anything that they are interested in, which is why there are so many niches out there. There are 100's of MILLIONS of products and services that people are buying on Amazon every day.

That is the reality of the ultra granular and niche we are living in, and the sheer size of the opportunity online.

So in the money making process regarding affiliate programs I was wondering in todays world the most leading product I know people search for and want to purchase affordable health or life insurance. Can this be used as a niche and are there any affiliate programs associated in marketing this?
Reply
newmarketpro Premium
Definitely there are people who are looking for health and life insurance. However, you might want to identify your audience who you want to target promoting this insurance plans to e.g. retiree, certain jobs, youngster etc .. this is your niche market. Health and insurance is a broad niche you want to target certain sector of these people and not in general.

Do some keyword research on health and life insurance and I believe you can start narrowing down your theme topic which you can use as your niche.

Hope that helps a bit.

How about the low income families with disabled children or disabled themselves. I'm talking about the families who work a job for a living for a company or employer that doesn't provide medical insurance but make too much to qualify for Medicaid assistance. Because I feel bad for these people because they need this just as much as those who can afford it.
Reply
newmarketpro Premium
Yes, you can target those people - that is your audience. Now you have identified your audience and you know the problem they encountered, this where you want to provide solution for these people. Is there insurance policies they can afford? Where they can find these products? Which insurance company provide such coverage at the price they can afford?

If you can come up with these solutions, you have found your niche. I believe there are a lot of people in this category.

It is a potential niche. Go for it.

Just a quick comment. This may seem really straightforward, but the devil is in the details. I started a site back in 2008 for real estate. I was looking for LEADS not trying to sell as an affiliate. I took a quickie course on SEO and was able to drive a TON of traffic to my site. Zillow, Trulia, and other third-party sites were in their infancy. So, initially, I was closing about 12 transactions a year this way. I even did quite well during the first 18 months of the housing crisis.

After the tax-credit for first-time buyers ended, the bottom fell out of the sales market. Still got a lot of leads, but you could have shown people a mansion for pennies and they STILL wanted a bigger bargain. When the market recovered, I found that the big platforms had taken over and were eating my lunch. I was not willing to pay the extortionary fees they were demanding. I figured no sane Realtor® would and they would die on the vine. But the VC keeps flowing in for these guys. They aren't turning a PROFIT, but 10 years in, they still have money to burn. I'm just sayin'...

Meanwhile, the VC for "platforms" has gone on a spending orgy. For a while, I was able to cobble together a site on real estate and local photography. That worked until the "platforms" came in and ate my lunch AGAIN. They were grabbing kids who were photography wannabes and paying the $50 for a shoot that should take about 4-5 hours (not including transportation) selling them to agents for about $150. They had the VC to put together fliers, brochures, video, the works. Living in one of the most expensive parts of the country, there was no way to compete with that.

I have no illusions - this is rolling boulders uphill.

I have recently become partly disabled. (I developed a foot deformity that is causing a ton of pain) So running around selling homes and taking photographs is becoming less and less doable. I had been thinking previously in terms of affiliate marketing because one of the problems with the things I did previously is that there is NO passive income stream. This was high-touch, labor-intensive work. At least with affiliate marketing you are not running around like a chicken without a head doing things and then chasing clients for payment (slow boat to China in the photography gambit). That allows me to concentrate my efforts on building great content and a really excellent user-experience.

Those are my thoughts, for what they are worth. It may look simple (and in theory - it is simple) but it isn't in reality.

Hi team! The video is awesome but I still want to know the following:
1. Everyone talks about Amazon but their commissions are up to 10% only, is that worth it?
2. Clickbank is one of the best (with up to 75% commissions) but is not allowed in my country (Angola), is there a better alternative for promoting digital products with such high commissions?
3. I've seen people making money with just a landing page and get subscribers? Does that really work?

Thanks a lot team, cheers.

1) That answer is subjective - for me, Amazon is not worth it.
2) Clickbank is the main distributor of digital products, I don't know of any other that does what they do. You can check out Commission Junction and Rakuten LinkShare for other programs.
3. Yes, there are many people who make money off of a list - they are typically content creators within the 'make money online' niche.

I agree the video was very good for the basics. But it generated more questions than answers for me.
1: What is the process and fees for using an affiliate?
2: Can anyone use affiliate sites or are you required to have a business license/number?
3:Is there a limit to how many affiliate sites you can have on your web page?

1. you sign up, you grab a link, you promote a product.
2. Anyone, some affiliates require higher traffic.
3. Nope, unless you sign up with an affiliate that limits you.

All of this is covered in the training.

Your questions will be answered in the training. Just keep going with it and you'll have a better understanding. In each lesson there are tasks to do, so just follow the training and do the tasks and then you'll learn how this business works and how your site will flow.
Reply
Kyle Premium
1. There are no fees to join affiliate programs. You will be signing up to them, then you can get all the affiliate links, tracking, stats, set-up your payment information, etc.

2. You don't need a business to build a website/online business. Down the road there are tax benefits to getting yourself a company, but I usually recommend that around the $100K per year m ark.

3. You can promote as many affiliate programs on your website as you like.

Over time you will likely be promoting many different products/services on your website and this will take place as your build out content and you see a good match between an audience and a product.

Remember, your role as an affiliate is to connect your traffic (an audience) with a product or service that will benefit them. This will be based on the context and relevance of the content.

--

And as Grace mentioned, you will be getting there as you move through the training. You don't want to join affiliate programs too early before you have an established base of content on your website, you will want to do it down the road (level 3 of the training).

I understand all that. And its not hard to find products to promote. That could be anything. Choosing something that is selling good. And brings in a good commision. High end products. Or getting in on some of the back end commision. Could involve some research. Finding a good company / product. that will bring you a good income. I have pretty much done that research. The part where i'm stuck though is coming later im sure. And that is getting the traffic to your site. Not just the traffic. But the rite traffic. targeted. Without buying it. Becouse you never really know what your going to get that way. And i'm not much of a gambling man. Event though it is nessasary sometimes to do that. But that is where im stuck. is getting ranked on google, List building for email marketing, The social media thing. And I better slow down. Im getting ahead of myself. Back on the subject. Click Bank is a good place to grab products to promote also. allot of digital products. That sell really well. Pretty much anything you can think of. I can go on and write a novel on the subject. So I better stop here. Thanks.

Traffic needs to come LONG before you worry about what to promote. The horse needs to come before the cart and here at WA you are going to learn the proper process of creating your business online.
then
It starts with a focus on your foundation, and then your audience, and then at that point you can divert your focus to promotions. That is the natural process.

Too many people focus on what to promote, before they have anyone to promote to. You can have a lemonade stand on a hot day in the desert, but if there is no traffic, you have no opportunity to make money. Make sense?
Reply
pilotspride Premium
Makes perfect sense. And your confusing me. Why are we talking about neich Well what we are promoting. And websites??? When in your own words. The horse should be in front of the website. shouldn't we learn techniecs for generating traffic. and then a niech, and website. kinda was my point..... and you want me to break down my hobby thing. How bout a store with only RC aircraft. Will that work? or still to broad. I think it should work. If football helmets for snacks works....And what type website are we doing here. for theme. blog,or store. I was wanting to do a store. But then Ill need a dropshipping company ect. Im just trying to plan my limited budget. I live on disability.

So much to learn!! I am enjoying the straight forward training and communication right out of the gate. I was confident going into this endeavor of the niche I wanted to pursue, after considering the traffic I want to generate, I may need to reconsider. I am anxious to discover the niche I choose and the path I take.

Lots to learn, but that is the case with anything new. You are more than capable to learn this stuff, no different than learning how to walk or ride a bike. Sure there will be ups and downs, but there is within any business and you will help and support here from myself and the entire community every step of the way.

As per your niche you plan on pursuing, all niches have a ton of opportunity within them. There are 3.75 BILLION people online and we are all now more connected than ever. This is the audience you are dealing with the Internet and even some of the most obscure niches have millions of people interested in them.

You should read about this here within a blog post I recently created on this exactly topic:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/getting-started/is-my-niche-a-profitable-one

YOU make a niche profitable and that is why it is important that you decide on a niche that you are interested in/passionate about. It will make the journey that much more fun and exciting. ;)

Kyle, I am excited about this journey. Truthfully, I have been wanting to learn more about a topic and just have not had the time to do so. Having this topic as my niche will allow me to work a business and passion together so for that I am over the moon.
Thank you for the link, I look forward to reading the blog.

So the gist of what I'm gathering from the training, thus far, is~ Its most beneficial to create several websites for different niches to affiliate yourself with? I was hoping to find something more 'blog-like' where i list affiliates per topic within one website, but that is not the case if I'm trying to go the best financial route
Reply

You can defiantly do "blog-like" website. To facilitate the, you must pick a theme that makes blogging easy. There are countless ones that you can select.

If you pose the question, "Which themes are best for blogging?", then you will get lots of answers.

I think you will find all you need here at WA for blogging. I signed up with a blogging company and was very disappointed in that people could not respond to me unless they were o facebook. That company charged more than WA and I did not get training or support.

I know you will find lots of people here who can help you without you having to look else where.

All the best to you.

Gosh! The training I've been getting so far since I joined WA two days ago has been superb. Hence I decided to upgrade to Premium membership level. I never knew online marketing can be this less of a hassle. The reason being, other online business models out there make online marketing feel like a nightmare. The most annoying part of it, I've been made to waste a lot of money after I've been made to believe that their sophisticated websites, lucrative sales funnels, animation soft wares, done for you system etc will bring streams of cash flow to me. In addition, I've been long promoting other people's blog posts since I started my online business. Because I felt it's pointless to create my own blogs. In fact, no website has ever decline people's blog posts I've been promoting. Surprisingly, Wealth Affiliate (WA) platform declined my post repeatedly as I was trying to post Dennis Wheatley's quotes and his image "The Psychology of Winning”. As a result, I was now compelled to create my own blog post for the very first time. To me, it’s a great achievement so far. I'm still new here, but I have been able to grasp a lot of beneficial stuff that will help me to be able to maximise wealth in the online world. I'm so glad your training is going down well with me, Kyle, please keep up with the good work. I'm also overwhelmed by how the community here have been keeping in touch with me and offering their support in any way they could be of help to me. My experience with WA so far has been unbelievably inexplicable. Thank you.

So wonderful to hear that you are enjoying your experience here thus far and you can expect a lot more of the same quality as you move forward.

If you were trying to post content from elsewhere, that is why it would have been declined as we don't allow duplicate content to be posted here. So that would be why, posting duplicate content can hurt a website's rankings and as you build out your website, you will want to make sure that you avoid posting dupe content.

Congrats on going Premium as well Sarah-louise, I really do look forward to working with you!

It seems so simple. I like the idea of not having to sell your own products. I once bought 100 mailboxes from someone that used to sell them but decided to go in another direction. After I bought the mailboxes I had to go pick them up in my truck but it took me several trips to pick them all up. Then I had to bring 100 mailboxes in my basement. Then after I sold one I had to pack up the mailbox and then ship it. Then if a customer didn't like the mailbox, I had to initiate a return and refund the money. That part of it didn't happened alot but it still did. Even though I made some money it became a little bit of a hassell.

Yeah, it is a lot of work to sell your own products, deal with inventory, outlay the money to purchase, and then carry the risk that you may not sell the product.

Affiliate marketing carries none of this risk or resources, instead you can promote from a subset of over 550 MILLION products/services and earn commissions for every sale you drive to the the company websites. It is a brilliant business model and an incredibly lucrative one. :)

First, I just want to mention that Kyle has a style of communicating and training that is very easy (for me at least) to engage in because of his easy manner. He does seem to miss anything even though his presentations are (again for me) relatively informal. I don't feel like I'm being preached by someone to convert me. And secondly, I "get" what he is talking about and I really appreciate that.

My first direct question about how to make money online (and I may be racing ahead - one of my historical tendencies that I need to monitor - is how do we learn to find business with affiliate marketing programs that we might join (relative to our niche)?

I am wondering if I am offering a product on one of my websites through an affiliate link, if the customer clicks the affiliate link to the product i'm offering and decides to purchase something else or finds something in addition to the product I offered would I get a commission for both products or only the one I offered?
For example, A customer clicks on my affiliate link for a protein powder which takes them to the product say on a bodybuilding website, they explore the site prior to purchase and discover they want a creatine powder instead, or in addition to the protein powder offered on my direct affiliate link.

Do I still get a commission if the customer purchases from the website my link took them to but not the specific product or do they have to purchase the product from my affiliate link?

It depnds if the affilaite has things set up so you do get those additional sales. To find out contact the affiliate manager for the company.

Amazon is set like that - if a visitor to your site clicks your amazon affiliate link if they purcahse anything on amazon within 24 hours you will get commission for it. If the person places the item in their cart but does not complete the purchse the cookie for that item now is extended 89 days - so if they complete the purchase you will still get the comission for that item

That is exactly the case for most people these days, most people are moving their spending online because they have far more option, it is more cost-efficient, and shipping has become much quicker. There are lots of advantages.

Affiliates are reaping the rewards of this. With every sale online, comes the opportunity for an affiliate to take a revenue split in that commission. ;)

Shopify is not the best start for any business, the problem is that you can create a "store" promoting products that you either have with or without the actual inventory (drop shipping), but the problem is that you don't have a proper foundation for your business or a source of traffic.

Unless you have a budget. Most people with the "ecom first" approach fail because they don't understand their audience and the risk a significant budget on advertising (paid) as that is the only source of traffic.

We are going to be teaching you how to PROPERLY build a business here at WA. :)

Two great examples of Affiliate Marketing. I have a question...in looking into a couple of companies I was interested in being an affiliate for, including Amazon, I found that some won't let you sign up until you have an active website and already have good traffic to the site. Amazon let me sign up but I got the impression they wouldn't pay commission until there was significant traffic coming to the site? Comments?
Reply
HarveyBrown Premium
Hello Taresa, from what I understand some affiliates review your website for content and traffic. They will not sign you on if they do not like what they see. Amazon does the same but are not so strict. Where they are strict is you having sales in 190 days. If you do not have a sale within that timeframe, they send you a notice that your account will be suspended. If it is suspended, you can reapply.

Yes, you need to have a decent amount of traffic especially the quality one that has high recurring commision. Cannot tell you why they do this practice.

I hope your website will never be ready Taresa, because you will need to work on it on a regular basis to keep it fresh. I do know what you are saying, but with enough content you will attract traffic and hopefully a few sales through Amazon. I think I did the same thing as you and got the notice. That was my first website. With my second I am being a little more cautious and waiting until my traffic builds.

Traffic is key. Amazon will pay you once you have made some sales.
This depends on (1) the type of product you are promoting at Amazon, (2) Amount of traffic you get (3) Conversions you ultimately make.
Like Harvey has said you need to make sells within 190 days.

Very interesting and informative video. Its great to know that on your website, depending on your niche, you can point clients to a number of websites who all have an affiliate program. Choice is a fantastic thing and the more choices the client has on your website the more likelihood there is that you will be earning from their visit to your website.
Reply
Kyle Premium
Exactly.

You can do more than one product /topic on a website ..obviously they need to fit together / be related .. I’m not sure if this particular example has more than one type of product but this is a very specific topic and niche but many many websites allow for several different closely related topics and subjects .. a good idea is to look at other websites in your niche or similar and look at the different things they promote or write about

Down the road you can certainly have businesses within many different niche, but when starting else you want to focus on just one niche. The reason is, you can be overwhelmed trying to create many different businesses all at once, before you have the formula for success within one.

While means coming down the road you will likely be building businesses across many different niches. That is the beautiful part about the Internet and the capabilities and opportunities it gives us all.

Nice Video and well explaining the whole process.
However, I have one question. Lets say someone visited my website and have chosen one product and get directed to the affiliate website (For example on amazon). Once he gets there, he change his mind and buy another product different from the one which brought him on amazon website. My question is to know if I will get my commission.

Regards.

Yes, you will still get the commission there as it sets you as the referrer to Amazon. Often times you will be recommending one thing, and make all sorts of sales with another.

That is what is so awesome, sometimes you are promoting at $10 product and someone makes a $500 Amazon order (or through another affiliate program) and you get full credit for that.

Refreshing and simplistic! I would have to agree that laying out this process of affiliate marketing in such a simple way. That almost anyone should be able to understand. And I think it's bringing it down to the simple basics what that does in keeping it simple is that we can continue to move through the process because it's easy to understand. Cuz I do my mind and it's critical thinking always wants to complicate the situationperiod causing things to take longer than they should and me of thinking that I have to know it all perfectly.

Thank you thank you again for the simplicity! Keep it simple!
And not allowing my mind too complicated today
It makes it fun when it is presented this way as well because presented it in such a way that it looks doable!

The platform here is not about recruiting other people Into wealthy affiliate, that is one option out of millions of different niche is that you can choose for your business. There're 4 billion people online, any niche is far from saturated and I am doubtful ANY niche will ever reach a saturation point.

2. Can I build a website around my real estate business and drive people to buy with me especially as I do have a very unique program as a realtor?

My interest / goal is helping make positive changes in the world and helping others realise their incredible and unique potential. As you can see quite broad and only in the early stages. The main niche from this I wish to branch off is centered in personal and spiritual growth. I have my personal experience that I would enjoy sharing in blogs about etc and invested in a number of products I would recommend to others. I have only briefly investigated affiliate programs with some opportunities there.

I recently became a Herbal Life member and have thought of how even this ties into achieving our greatest potential for highest growth, all is connected and diet and our digestive health are key factors. I have access to these products through my recent membership and would receive royalties on products sold through my ID no.

This was intended to only be a short post as I am still just putting the vision together. Thanks again

Well perhaps you could take something like "digestive health" and make that your niche, you could definitely head in that direction if you wanted. Positive change is not a niche, this is something that you can effectively do within ANY niche that you decide on. :)

pricing is the issue.

Great information. Based on the product you used for this video, can you have success promoting products without a blog? Just find a a good selling product from Amazon or another top rated affiliate and promote it. This snack helmet looks like a great example of this theory. Just a product that goes straight to Amazon without a blog. I'm diffinetly still doing my blog with a niche, but always wondered about just selling products from Amazon as well. Want as many comments as possible. Thanks

The snack helmet was somewhat special niche because it really didn't have following at the time that it was created.
In most cases you will want to have a blog..

Hello Kyle! You don’t have to have your own product to sell, right? You can promote products that belong to others? Also, wouldn’t you make more in commission if you were promoting more expensive products, like digital data? With the snack helmets, is that somebody else’s product that Jay is promoting? Thank you!
Reply
Kyle Premium
Correct. you do not need your own products or services to sell, as an affiliate marketer you can choose from over 550 MILLION. Basically every brand and product that you can ever imagine you can promote as an affiliate (including all major brands).

Within Jay's website, he doesn't own any of those products or carry any of the inventory, deal with shipping. He simply sends people from his website over to Amazon through an affiliate link, and collects a commission (6% on every sale), every time someone makes a purchase.
Reply

Thank you Kyle for clarifying all of that. So, you can choose to promote high ticketed items? You would make more in commission on items that are more expensive, do I have that right? Thank you!

I really appreciate the straightforward and simple way this is all explained. I was with another group that was teaching affiliate marketing and I was so confused I gave up. Your process works around a niche rather than just becoming an affiliate of every program you can find. Building a site around marketing rather than around a niche/focus/interest just makes NO sense to me at all. Your system makes more and more sense to me and I know I'll be successful in building a site around my niche as I build my visitors' confidence in my expertise - then I can offer products that relate to my visitors.

Will you were building a business around a particular audience, and if you take that approach and set of trying to focus in on one particular product, you will be able to establish yourself as a brand and authority in a given niche (the ultimate goal).

They're going to be thousands of products and services that you will be able to effectively promote with in any niche. That to me, to this day, is incredible exciting (and it indicates just how much opportunity there is online).

Hello everyone! I am new here and in the beging of the process. So I have three questions before I will go forward.
1)Can I use/create web-sites in russian language? Does WA work in/with Russia?
2) So, Am I right that I need to choose the niche connected with real goods are selling on Walmart, ebay, amazon etc...... So I like books and reading and writing and I do not have a chance to use it? Or I can figure it out how to link it to the books/tabs/e-books? Sorry for confusing and maybe stupid questions>,,,,
3) Where my commision goes (if and when I wget it, huh? To any Ccard? Or its paypal only?
Thanks to everybody in adavnce!!!

1. people have websites in different languages, it should work fine

2. all questions are good
you can choose all niches, outside of those amazon-type, he just does some training on that so you know how, you will certainly be able to use reading and writing - it is all about writing and research whatever niche you are in and you can review books too and get commissions

3. all affiliate programs have their own way of paying, a lot use paypal, some don't, so check with whichever one you are using - it you do use paypal then it goes straight into that account
Reply
thank you for your answers! so I would like to clarify for myself: will I need to find the contacts and to negotiate with the companies by myself? or I will already will use the approved programms?

Hello Natalia, creating a website in the language you are comfortable should not be a problem. The only problem I can see is finding affiliate programs in that language.
Your niche can be in anything that you have a passion. It does not have to sell anything directly. You can however do reviews of some of the products that are related to you niche.
At the present time I believe Paypal is the only way to receiver your commission.

The other affiliate programs i have looked at cost a lot of money and want me to promote their stuff and make it hard to understand, hoping i will purchase their systems. I really like where this is going. I have been studying for two months to learn the facts so i can know how to do this myself for the long term. You should NEVER have to pay for an affiliate program. If they are indicating you do, that is often times not an affiliate program you are getting involved in, more likely a scheme.

There are 10,000's of affiliate programs out there (free) and you can promote from over 550 MILLION products/services. The opportunity is incredible and it is definitely not going anywhere.

You are going to be learning this in great detail as you move through the training. The next lesson is going to be covering "choosing your niche", so you are going to be set after this.

A niche can be absolutely anything that you want, something that you're interested in or something that you are interested in learning about. ;)

There actually are not all that many things that are involved in the process when it is broken down and at the end of the day you have a product, and a customer. Your goal as an affiliate is to align these two items and that is what you are going to be learning as you move through the training.

Kyle, my sister is a District Manager for a store located in malls all over the states...my niche could say" (company name) and things". And create my website by maybe copying pics of merchandise and pasting them on my site...so when the customer clicks on a particular item it sends them to the store site and I would still receive commission off of it????
Reply
Kyle Premium
I would avoid using a brand or trademark in your website, your niche is an audience or group of people interested in something. I would also choose something that you are really interested in rather than choosing something simply because your sister is a district manager.

If you are passionate about and enjoy what you are doing, it won't feel like work and much greater success is more likely to result.

You wouldn’t want to use a “store” as your niche but the things they sell that you want to promote could be your niche. A store can sell many things and you usually can’t use a store’s company name in your domain “store name and things .com” since you can’t use other people’s trademarked names. Remember that is just one store out of many other affiliate programs you could apply to. So you need to come up with a niche which is a specific group of hints you’ll be promoting, and not a particular store. I hope this clarifies it for you.

Ditto to what everyone has said not only is there the copyright infringement concern but what if there’s a merger or company name change? Your site name should be one unique to you and you can trademark if you choose to.

To my way of thinking, the whole idea of business is to generate the highest possible profit while incurring the lowest amount of time/effort/cost, while providing customers with the highest level of satisfaction, thus retaining them for future sales prospects and as advocates of you/your offerings to their social circle; which is the sincerest and most efficient way of building a powerful sales-generating business ...

From this latest training, my understanding is that the most efficient way to maximize profits is to somehow (if possible) identify the products that generate the highest volume of sales, couple them with the vendors/affiliate programs that pay the highest commissions (again, if possible), and keep repeating this process ...

An open question to all members, and the co-founders of WA: Is this the way you recommend proceeding, what's been anyone's success in this method, or any other?

In my case, so far in my life, I have never been particularly "passionate" about any product/activity, so I believe in extending offers to others based on their expressed passions/interests, not mine.

You know, the old adage: when fishing, offer the bait that the fish is most likely to go for (the worm), which you presumably wouldn't swallow, rather than your favourite (cherry pie, or whatever it is), right?

Any comments from anyone?

It's a good question Larry. From my research I do see people making money this way (I also met someone in person recently here in Thailand who makes their income solely from affiliate marketing). That said I think at the end of the day it comes down to how much work you are willing to put in. There is no 'quick' way to do this. People buy stuff online all the time, the market is there, you just have to get them to your content by following the guidelines given here.
I have also been digging through user content on here using the search function and there is a tonne of really useful advice.
Reply
dchapman3 Premium
My strategy so far has been to write quality and engaging content that leaves the reader to believe that I am an authority and I answer all the questions that they have regarding any product that they at researching.

If I accomplish this, then they will buy. If I don't, they will continue researching. You want to satisfy their needs to make them convert to the sale.

The higher the quality of content, the better rankings you will have in the search engines.

I'm still new to affiliate marketing, but don't get distracted by the shiny object and keep on course with your business strategy.

You are aligning a product with an audience (that typically already wants that product). There are 4 billion people online buying stuff and over 550 MILLION products that you can promote as an affiliate.

I have spent some time breaking down the process in the most simplistic way possible. Success online is at the core a 4 step process and I have broken them down within this video: Broken, down, the process looks like this:

Step 1: Choose your niche
Step 2: Build your website/content
Step 3: Get rankings in search engines (leads to traffic)
Step 4: Monetize your traffic (the make money part, through affiliate programs, etc!)

This applies in absolutely every niche and as you work through the training here at WA, you are going to be walked through this exact process. This is fundamental for ANY success online.

If you have any further questions let me know Larry. :)

Hello, Donald (got that from comments made by others on your profile), thanks for the "follow" and your input. I'm brand new to online/affiliate marketing, from your recent remarks to me and some comments you made on your profile page, I'm starting to think that maybe I'm out of my depth in this type of undertaking.

More specifically, although I believe I do express myself well (oral and written), I'm not sure I know how to write "copy" that will present me as an expert, or authority on any particular topic, not to mention on third-party services/products; after all, as affiliates we'll be paid when customers buy other peoples "stuff" (to quote George Carlin), not our own, yes?

And having to come up with new copy several times/week, at a rate of maybe 1200 words/post is simple, but not that easy.
How many different ways can one say: Buy this stuff, it's the best, it'll do xyz for you, etc.? And you seem to imply that an affiliate would have to be ready to answer questions of individuals inquiring about the stuff they're promoting ...? That in itself would be very time intensive, even in the unlikely event that I had all the answers about 3rd-party stuff ... or maybe I still don't have the proper grasp of what's involved in being a successful affiliate?
Reply

Sounds like a pretty good strategy dchapman3

Hello again, Donald,

I just read your post more closely and it seems that you're suggesting that an Affiliate, to be successful, should be able to answer any/all questions that a prospective buyer would have about ant product(s)/services(s) that the Affiliate is promoting ... how else do you suggest one could represent him-/herself to be an authority on any given subject, except by personal experience?

If that's what you're recommending, does it then follow that the Affiliate would need to have personally bought/used these things; if so, that would represent an enormous investment of time and/or financial outlay, considering that most Affiliates would be promoting many items, yes?

Of have I misunderstood your post? Please clarify. Thanks!
(Hope I'm not coming across as being overly picky, or simply obtuse ...)

It just seems a little narrow to me at the moment.

Hi Joey, this is a common and practical question but as someone who is involved in this exact matter, I will say that while competition does exist, EVERY single blog owner who is in this niche has their own unique content and the one who produces more of it and better content is the one who rises above the competition.

Furthermore, if you went through the keyword training, you will note that every single person out there will have keywords to find and create content on and i assure you, not everyone can do the same thing. The people who find more keywords and do more with that are the ones who get further than anyone, and that is always the very rare minority.

So in short, making money online whether it be in one competitive industry or another, the competition in the end shouldn't be an obstacle you allow to stop you because you can rise above it, no matter how competitive it is and following the WA training will help you do this.

There are millions of niches, and within any niche, there is room for 1,000's of successful affiliates. One thing that always shocks me is how there are so many successful __________ stores in our local city of 400,000 people.

So many clothing stores, coffee shops, grocery stores, insurance companies, toy stores, electronics stores. They are making combined, billions per year. Then I think about the 4 BILLION people online, 10,000 times this opportunity and remember just how vast the opportunity is and it is only getting bigger.

I think understanding how Affiliate Marketing works holds the key to success in WA. It looks
simplistic and yet complex especially the search and niche selection aspects because there is a
huge preponderance of choices to make. That's the problem. Suppose I decide t choose a niche, say "grooming, management and wellness of pets" wouldn't it be very unwieldy if I chose a whole
array of pets? Wouldn't it be more reasonable to limit my scope to dogs only? Also how would I
go about making the search?. Thanks.

Yes I think you have it cracked, and I'd personally advise selecting a particular animal as you suggest, say dogs for example... And regarding your next question, if you just continue following the training through you'll find that will be answered (so I don't want to jump in with my own answer yet which may potentially confuse you). Hope that helps!

So true. People are easily distracted by “Shiny Object Syndrome” always chasing after the next best and greatest thing and because of lack of laser focus never accomplish anything. I’ve been guilty of that myself for the past few years and until recently realized that for things to change in my life, I need to change. I create my reality with every thought, decision and action I make every second of every day.

As with everything, it really is important to create that solid foundation in your business. Only until you have built that strong, solid foundation will you be able to build upon that. Otherwise you build on a house of cards.

In this first video I learned that Your website is your home. That’s where you have the opportunity to connect with like-minded people and create the know, like and trust factor. You have the opportunity to connect with Affiliate Programs and direct people to them, first and foremost to educate and to serve and in doing so you get a commission for the referral.

There are 2 different trainings here at WA

There is the Certification training (green button) that teaches you how to build a business in the niche of your choice.

Then there is the Affiliate Bootcamp training that teaches you how to promote WA in the make money online niche so, anything you promote other than WA should be related to online business.

With that said, if Amazon, for example, has a book or an e-course related to online business then you could also promote that on your site if you wish but, you would not want to promote something like gardening tools on an online business type of site.

You should do one or the other, do not try to combine the two in a single website.

Could we add links to a particular product from more than one store that has an affiliate program?

For example, I have an energy drink. And more than one site carries this particular drink. They are both affiliated programs. Could we make it up to the consumer to choose which is the better buy by adding links to each store?

Is that possible?

Thanks in advance

Kyoko817 Premium
That's a really great question. Some people may have different responses, but personally I don't think it's a good idea if the product is exact the same. I would do some variation, but not the same item with different vendors. The best thing is "This is the best item, get this" this kind of straight message. People tend not to do anything (especially click to buy) if there is some confusion or they have to think and decide.
Hope it helps.

It does make sense -- in some ways, we as marketers would like to give the consumer the best option to purchase a particular item, and advertise that, correct?

I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions for a rookie like myself :)
Reply
Kyle Premium
Yeah, you are correct in the way you are thinking. There are going to be LOTS of different options, your goal is to help your audience (through your content). This builds trust, then when you have that you can make recommendations that make sense in the context of your content.

If you are talking about the best blow dryers for curly hair, then your recommendations would be in line within that. If you help people within your content, there is a good chance they may make a purchase as a result.

Very enjoyable and makes a lot of sense at looking at the fundamentals of affiliate marketing and how to deliver the goods. However, two questions I want to ask, as I want some further clarification on what was said:

Does any of the niches get over saturated?
I notice that the majority of sites were USA orientated, what about us members who reside in other countries?
Reply
Kyle Premium
Never worry about competition within the niche, any given niche is so vast that there is so much opportunity and so many keywords/audiences that are "untapped".

The only competition you should worry about is you and by being a member here and what you learn here at WA, you are going to have a competitive advantage over any of your competition.

When I enter a niche, competition does not even cross my mind because ANY niche can be highly lucrative and there is so much opportunity within any niche.

You will be just fine, don't worry about competition Tai.

Wow. Two years ago, I spent weeks trying to figure out how to set myself up with affiliate marketing. I eventually paid way too much money to someone to help me get started. Last year I spent more money on another website...crashed and burned and no help from the expert who was helping me.
And now, I get it...and I haven't spent any money yet. Maybe I can actually do this, this time!

Ya I've tried and paid over a hundred for one but it disappeared after I paid ,no money back so I'm hoping better luck this time.

Wow, the websites looks so professional and nicely laid out. Easy for potential customer to find what they looking for very quickly. I am guessing the website builder will help me achieve the same effect...
I have some questions around the affiliate processes but instead of jumping the gun, I'd rather go through the training and see if there is still clarity needed from my side.

So far so good.

Passive income is simply what an online business will create, and you can create more passive income by continuing to build your business.

The process is very straightforward at the core and that Is exactly what you are going to be learning here within the training.

This video is excellent, I have to honestly admit that I had no clue (well maybe I had the wrong idea) of what it was all about. Truely more simple than I though. Now my question is how does this companies pay? meaning do they pay by paypal or something like that? I understand that the other points will be clarified, but not sure about this one...

Actually, you need to contact the company, the payment methods are different.

it sure was a simple process to understand! Using something as seemingly small as snack helmets to show each step was enough to get the imagination started on what I could build as a niche. I have had the habit of seeing something this simple, getting the imagination going, and then losing interest because of how much is available to utilize.

So, I am hoping the course will help with someone who has a lot of different interests in a lot of different areas, to be able to concentrate on SOMETHING and drive it towards a niche success.

Yeah, it is crazy isn't it. Think of how many niches there are like this within the football category alone. I was looking up metal beer buckets the other day and as I dug, I realized how massive that niche is.

Newbie question...so I google snack helmets and rather than clicking on that first link, I notice the Amazon link just below it and click on that because I like Amazon. Commission earned? or not? I assume we are learning how to make our niche stand out and hope that ppl click on the first link showing in the Google listing.

Hi Rob,

Check out the 100's of Webinars in the Live Video Classes section (left menu - above tools).

I took a few of these courses years ago and to answer your question, yes, WA helps you make sites that stand out.

It's pretty much the best source for an all inclusive online business training program. They teach you to strategically build out your site and the focus is all about the user experience, white hat seo, and helpful content. Keep taking the classes and you'll get it.

As you continue to target traffic based on your niche, you build up lots of free traffic and the percentage of conversions depends on you as a marketer (but of course there's training on that here as well).

I've even gone as far as to get feedback on my conversions from people here, including one of the owners.

Hope that helps answer your question.

So websites are little stores, chosen and centering on a small, specific portion of the market. Like the helmets target football sports enthusiasts, and foodies who want to please them too. Then the products go along with their desire to own something with their team logo, which is also cute and unique. That website is filled with links that will catapult the customer to a product supplier when they can no longer stand the tension of not having that product for their own.
When the customer purchases something, then we get a percentage as our incentive to repeat the process and to become more adept at this art of making websites, driving traffic, obtaining and embedding links in our content. And, I am sure there is more to learn, do and become.
So exciting, Suzay cannot stop saying that!

Terrific video content, I am impressed! I do have a couple of questions:
1. What is the actual process by which a commission would be paid to me by a large retailer like Amazon, after an online purchase was made?
2. What can I do to get a top ranking from Google, or other search engine?
3. It's always nice to be located at the top of a Google page when a prospective customer does a search of a product. How can I make sure I am at at the top of page or close it?
4. I understand from the video that I can have a link to each of several retailers for the same product promoted on my website. Does this mean I have to be an affiliate member of the Affiliate Program of each of these retailers? Is there a fee to be paid to each for the affiliate membership?
Reply
terryg247 Premium
I can answer a couple of your questions
1. There is a minimum payout, Amazon I believe is a $100. Once you pass that mark they send you a check
2. Lots of hard work to be honest, the right keyword, the right SEO
3. See answer 2
4. There is no cost to sign up to affiliate programs or at least I have never crossed any. It takes a few minutes to sign up to each program

Do you recommend to have different websites in English and Spanish for the same niche?

A great question.. My recommendation is to try to know which one has lower competition but also will have a decent expected traffic. go through the training and keep improving the website.. After that, it will easier and quicker to do the other one as you will learn from any mistakes and will be able to do a better job in less time

My question is about the affiliate companies and the price of the item, for instance the snack helmet, does it matter which company the customer chooses to purchase the item from, so Amazon showing the cheapest price most people would go for that, I gather you must be an affiliate with Amazon, but if the customer chose another company no matter the price, are they showing up because you are an affiliate with all of them? Thanks :)
Reply
sherlock77 Premium
You will only get paid as an affiliate if the customer purchases from your affiliate link. As an example, if you're an Amazon affiliate and they buy the helmet off Amazon through your link, you earn a commission. If the customer goes off and buys the helmet from some other retailer that you're not an affiliate of, you earn nothing.
Reply
OraCharoite Premium
Thanks Darren, yes I understand that, so do you endeavour to become an affiliate with as many companies within your niche as possible, is that a difficult thing to do? So when all those prices showed up with different companies for the helmet, was he (the WA member) an affiliate with all of them?

Football snack helmets hey? never heard of that one before but interesting and it works. Crikey the sky really is the limit with niche ideas. I have so many I would like to do but need to remain focused and concentrate on creating a site within my knowledge base at least for now.

That is just one tiny little niche in the football category alone (there are 1,000's of others segments within it that could be leverage). The sky is truly the limit when it comes to niches and we are going to help you uncover this as you move through the training. :)

This is so awesome!!! I love your way of teaching things! You have a way of helping people understand concepts in a simple way and you are amazing! Yes, that discussion is coming. Press on and take the training as Kyle has laid it out. How to make money as an affiliate with companies will be introduced. You first need the framework of your website before affiliate links can be added or you will not rank in the SERP's.

Hi Nathaniel,
I've just started and completed the training to the about page insert but the niche i chose is not one I know much about but am researching. It has now made me think maybe i should change it to what i do like as i dont want to see this a chore. I could make a second site now but like you said not to dpread yourself too thinly.
Current one is important though as it relates to what i know people should be doing with our most valuable resource, water and as a person who likes to be informed, i have this inate desire to share this to get people on board. With that been said, the likelihood of generating much of income is imho low. Its all about balance I guess and wont know unless I try.

FYI to Kyle. Very helpful video so thank you. However, after doing a google search, the link to Atlanta Falcons from "select your team" and then "check out" or "get yours" takes you to random Atlanta Falcons merchandise and NOT a snack helmet. Additionally the two mentioned above links to Chicago Bears take you to Dallas Cowboys snack helmets.

I just wanted to mention it as I'm sure there are some missed opportunities for sales. As a consumer I would immediately leave the website if my click took me to something other than the opportunity to purchase a snack helmet. Just my two cents worth. Thanks for the lessons! Ready for more!

Dgfimple...re competition...I am currently winding down at one end and gearing-up at the other to more aggressively participate within this wonderful program. So, at this juncture, I am unable to offer a list of ‘how tos’ to be successful. However, I am able to share my thoughts and what brought me to Wealthy Affiliate, Kyle and Carson.

It is a good business practice to first analyze any targeted business segment before moving headlong into it. What has me excited is that in the U.S. alone there are 220+ million online shoppers using mobile phones alone. And nearly 80% of our population already shops online. The number of possible niches continues to grow; and it is projected that shoppers will broaden their purchases across a greater variety of consumer goods and services in the years to come. The U.S. affiliate marketing segment spend was $5.3 billion in 2017. And it will continue to grow by 10% through 2020. Projected to be $6.8 billion

Reading Kyle’s comments, if the number of solid, smart, trained affiliate marketers is relatively small and the targeted market itself and its shoppers are expanding…you would/could/will become real busy. I hope my thoughts are helpful.

Best wishes for success

Yea, Nick; That's been my experience, too. I think my failure on earlier tries was because the trainer assumed I knew something about computers or search engines, monetization, etc. And tho I never continued, I did use the dictionary and encyclopedias (wiki) to get stuff cleared up.
