This video training has one simple goal...

To help YOU understand the process of making money online.

It is actually more simplistic than you think. Although there are many ways in which people are creating successful businesses online, there is one core component to any successful business, a website.

In this video I walk you through the process right from the initial audience, to the search in Google, to the website, to the niche, to the types of programs that you are going to be promoting to generate revenue.

There are many ways that you can earn a full time income online once you understand the fundamentals and this video is going to clarify what the fundamental process is.

If you have any comments or questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to give you a hand.

hey, how can I look to see how many people are searching certain terms on google? Like I googled "Mommy Manifesting" and nothing like the idea I had in mind came up. Then I wondered how many other people out there googled this and similar queues you know? If anyone could explain to me how I can find this out I'd greatly appreciate it.

I was wondering if having a Mommy blog is a niche or is that too broad of a category? There are SOOO many mommy blogs. Or what about a "law of attraction" website? I'm still trying to wrap my brain around how I could implement affiliate links in say, a "Law of attraction" website, and make it authentic ? Or could I actually put these two different subjects in one website? That way it would be a more Nichey mommy blog? Like for instance, can I be a mommy blogger that promotes ETA ( tapping ), LOA ( Law Of Attraction ) and other methaphysical subjects? Something like; very specific, maybe a website called, "Mommy's Manifesting" Or is that too much lol?

I have an idea for a niche, but I am afraid I won't be able to find enough affiliate web sights. I have been dealing with chronic back pain since about 2004. I would love to blog about it and maybe help give hope to some one out there not to feel alone. Thoughts??

Today is my first day and this video could not explain things any better. I agree that your website is your foundation. I know someone off some where else tried to tell me you didn't need a website to make money, but that was one thing I could never figure out. This video just proved her wrong :)

A website is the foundational building block of a business online. You can make money without one, but it is hard to create an actual sustainable business without one. It is like trying to build a sturdy house on a mud put or quicksand, you want a solid cement foundation.

I have a niche in mind that is very broad in nature. Within the niche I am interested in there are 3 subsets I would like to concentrate on. How would you recommend I approach this by concentrating on all three subsets at once? Or; should I narrow it down to only one at a time?
Reply
MozMary Premium
are the subsets categories within your niche? think about how you are going to fill out your website with content, where do the subsets fit into that scenario?
Reply
IdlewildPine Premium
Yes they were. But, I decided to concentrate on one and as you stated above as my content grows I will incorporate them as they fit in. Thanks MozMary for the reply.

I truly wish I would have known about WA sooner. I was scammed. I signed up for a program promising to teach me everything and coach me. I lost $3500.00. They wanted me to pay another $6000.00 to help me get a website and find products and on top of that pay a monthly fee for the website and other programs for hosting. I felt I should have gotten more for the $3500.00 I had spent for the program. I had people calling me and offering services that I didn't ask for and I didn't have a foundation. I took a big risk and lost money. I am more determined to make this work.

I did something similar! I spent a little less than you did, but its just as bad in my eyes because of those broken promises. It makes you skeptical of everything else at times.
But I came across WA and thought I would take a chance and could never be more happy.
Good luck in all your success.

Now that you have found Wealthy Affiliate, I can assure you that you will never be scammed again. Unfortunately this industry is filled with such programs that take advantage of folks (like you have experienced in the past).

We are not only the most cost efficient platform in the industry, but the most comprehensive and advanced as well. I really do look forward to working with you moving forward.

PS. Congrats on going premium and welcome to the WA family! :)

Yes, it is hard to believe they get away with that but I see it all the time, year after year, they are preying on people's lack of information and awareness

you can use that experience going forward to help others not get scammed and make money in the process, eg introducing others to this platform gets you half the membership fee in commissions

Hello! I just signed up for Premium last night. I decided to do it as I was building my web page. I've been here and nosed around for about a week now and I'm only on the first Course yet, but I already know this is what I want to do. I figured the cost of the Premium is about what I spend on a cup of coffee every day...It's less than $1.65 a day, so I'll drink something else until I can afford coffee again! LOL. I wish you much success and please know that you really have a whole community of help here!

Alright, now that I think about it, the most frightening stuff to me about content creation is my writer skills and ways to come up with interesting content to read on my website. English is not my first language but I manage communicating what I have to say in that language. What I'm asking myself is if the ones succeeding in this business already have a good ability at writing, reviewing products and coming up with good written content.
Reply
Qasiana Premium
Hi Bluemike, I can understand why you would feel overwhelmed. You're not alone! English too is not my 1st language. All I can say is: Thank goodness for programmers. That's one of the main reasons programs like WordPress were made for the public to further help them poofread any or all of their work so that it may not be misleading or misunderstood by others. Am I right, Kyle or anyone in our group?

Your writing is fine Michael and your goal of your content is not to actually "write" so much, rather you are communicating. That is all it is.

You communicate all day, now it is just a matter of applying those skills (which I can tell you are good at) to your online business. There is a really awesome post that I want to refer you to here that I think will give you some new found perspective on this topic: Trust me, your writing is more than fine and if you ever need a hand or want me to to look at your content, let me know.

ok guys I'm starting from 0. I have some trouble focusing on one thing at a time and the whole picture consumes me. I understand the steps but I'm preoccupied and panicking about Traffic. In the past with other companies I build the website and they drop me like a bad habit. I so don't want that to happen here and I'm hopeful because here it seems people support each other. It may take an ah ha moment but for me the puzzle is still incomplete.
my question is this I have a page on Facebook. It gets about two views a day with out posting a thing. when I boost it gets hundreds a day. Everyday that go's by without a web page and a link is a day I'm losing income potential. can anyone share incite on how to put a link on a FB page?
Reply
SZev Premium
Hi Ronald, you don't need to panic about traffic. So long as you follow proper guidelines and post content regularly, your traffic will continue to grow. Everything WA teaches is "white hat," meaning you will not be taught any shady short-cuts that could compromise the traffic you work to build.

In regards to Facebook, I'm not really sure what you're asking. If you already have FB posts on your FB page, then you already know how to put links there, right? Or are you asking something else?

Hello there. It sounds very good. I was wondering how the owner of a product I'm promoting knows that I'm doing it? do I need to contact them and ask them to promote their products inmy website? How do I get the link of them. And how it works for example if some potential costumer access a website from the link in my website and find what he wants to buy but just don't buy it right in that moment, but come back later and access that website straight without use the link in my website? Then, even if this costumer gets the product he was looking for from my web site I will not get any comisión...? Is that so?

there are proper affiliate programmes that you can join with companies that will help you to create the link from your site to the product so that they can be followed/tracked and any commission will be paid to you.
All this is explained in the training.

So if I have this correct... we choose something we are interested in, write about it, promote it via FB or other social media sites that we have to invest in and then this will generate leads from our ads / websites etc and a niche could be anything from sports, health, wealth etc and something that could be expanded on in multiple ways - is this right? x

Pretty straight forward process explained in the video - I prefer shopping online more then in retail stores, so recognize the process as regular online customer. Finding a niche would be a key... Can I have several or just better focus on one at the beginning? Can you change a niche later after initial learning curve?
Reply
littlemama Premium
Your website should focus on a more narrowed down niche in the beginning because you can get more traffic that way if you're more focused. When your site has some authority (maybe a year in), you can expand a bit more and more.

If you change niche, you may need to start a whole new site because your domain name or previous content may be completely different.

You may want to start with a siterubix.com free site then when you're sure transfer it to your own domain. A free site can always be delete and start over, but your own domain, you may have to buy another domain if you go with something completely different.

Hope this helps,
Grace

Yep, sure we need to focus on one niche first and after can choose other niches to make more money. Yep, we can change niche also if we want, but the best way to make website title in such a way that covers little bit board niche so that we should never have to change the niche.

Let me explain you more about niche in terms of blogging.

Niche means the subject of your interest, in which you have some knowledge so that you can write several contents related with that niche. Actually every niche is profitable, what matters is the amount of contents you can write on that niche. So, instead of thinking which niche is profitable, think in which niche you can write many contents by targeting several different keywords, because more contents you can write, you gonna have more traffic to your website and then more conversions, sales or even profit form advertisements within your website by applying with services like Google Adsense. If you don't know what Google Adsense means, then you can click this link:- https://www.newsonlineincome.com/how-to-make-money-from-google-adsense/

So, any niche is a profitable niche for you if you have some ideas on that niche so that you can write several contents on that topic on your own as well as by doing research on Google. So, sure you can pick any niche and keep on making website exactly as guided by Wealthy Affiliate lessons by doing proper keywords research for each content.

So, keep on taking Wealthy Affiliate lessons by clicking "Get Started Here/Certification" green bar on the left hand side menu of Wealthy Affiliate. At the end of those lessons, there are some tasks which you need to complete. Move step by step from lesson 1 without skipping any lessons or tasks. I repeat, without skipping any lessons or tasks. If you move in that way, soon you will understand the system of Wealthy Affiliate and even will start to build your online business.

And remember, I'm your sponsor and I'm always ready to help and support you. You can always feel free to ask me if you need any help from my side within Wealthy Affiliate. hi everyone, I only signed up today and may be jumping the gun a little but hey! let's rush ahead and get the thing that is bothering of my chest right away.

So, I've tried various ecommerce platforms because I was excited about all the add on's I could use - for example a well known ecommerce platform based in Canada promises a direct link to your amazon shop and also to be able to upload your products to pinterest for business only to find out that this is only available to the North American market (i.e. your North American Amazon store and stores that sell in dollars) . As someone living in the UK, I obviously have an interest in reaching out to a target audience in the UK and Europe principally, so does the amazon affiliate program extend to the UK version of amazon as well as the North American amazon? What other affiliate programs are available outside of North America? I only ask because this type of affiliate marketing doesn't seem popular in the UK leading to me to wonder if there is a lack of affiliate programs available to us. Of course, it may be that I have not seen them but everything that pops up seems to be coming from North America.

Anyone got experience of running this type of business from the UK?

Hi You can join Amazon uk and many many other UK based stores, heck even EverythingsFive Pounds has an affiliate programme. Waitrose, Matalan, they are all there in a place called AWIN. But the thing is you need a website to join these programmes.
Let me know if you need any more info ok, am UK based :-)

I saw on Amazon recently that they have something called "one link" where your readers can buy from UK or the US Amazon :)
I am with Amazon US but I haven't really delved into the one link yet - you can read about that here: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/onelink/

Just also keep in mind that Amazon is not the only online store to have an affiliate program - you will be able to find so many affiliate programs and make money through them.

Plus affiliate marketing is not the only way to make money - I make money in loads of different ways. Here's an article I wrote that you can check out to get some ideas: As soon as you have some traffic to your blog you can start earning in loads of different ways.

But I'm willing to give a shut and find what is my purpose and I know it's not too late to do something good and chase my dream.

You will learn how to choose your first niche in the next lesson. You will have to think about this first before you build your website. Take your time to think about it. It's not about your talent or skills to sell, it's about a topic you love to talk about and are passionate about. Not just passion itself.

Go on to Lesson 3 and you'll find out how to narrow down your niche choices.

But this is what I have been asking myself all this time, even before I joined WA.

There are many ways to monetise a website, affiliation is popular where you earn commission from companies such as Amazon, Walmart, ebay, Microsoft, etc. by recommending their products and sending your traffic to their sites.

The payments you received have to be from the traffics. However, earning revenue will come slowly with the maturity of your website when people would be happy and convinced reading your contents

I am just wondering does someone who is using your website but decides to have a niche on Healthcare, Do you provide a commission check to them? After all, your website is getting noticed just because I used it to create my website? Unlike Go daddy where I purchase a website URL or DOMAIN, I pay for it and they don't attach there domain to mine. I noticed we have to pay for a domain, but is it attached to yours ? I hope I am making sense? By the way in the South (USA) we say Niche in a totally different way.. its more like Ni-ITCH. so it took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about. LOL

I believe you mean if there's WA advertising on the free sites you get. The answer is no, it is clean and fully yours.
Reply
Dmorrow Premium
When you purchase your own domain it is yours to do with and advertise whatever you like. WA is not attached to it. If you go the affiliate boot camp route, you would advertise WA on your page and you would earn commissions on new members that come in through your site. Does that help you?

The video is clear. But, how else could one get a big or bigger targeted audience toward a website other than have it ranked on Google?

As far as I learnt and read and a lot about it, that the email marketing business is being very focused on and it, by all means, would have to inclusively be set up as well, not to mention the Facebook As system and Pixel beside a free traffic, ect.

My (modest) theory is as following:

If you're a Preminum member, you can have 50 websites.
If you followed all isntructional steps 100 % systimatically as it should and had in the end 50 websites created for different niches, you could make at least $ 50K a month if each or every website generated $ 1K of a passive income per month.

Anybody out there could tell if I'm wrong?? ;)

@RICH. Premium
Leveraging social networks, email marketing, PPC, etc. are all covered as you work your way through the courses.

You don't have to make multiple sites, you only need one to earn a living. :)

Just earning a living is not enough. I don't need the internet for this. I easily get by without it. I've got other plans online LOL.

Nice analogy about the 50 websites, but the fact is, it is hard to create 1 website that generates $1k of passive income.

Unless you have cash to sink into paid traffic to drive sales for the 50 websites, but what about the content of the websites?

I know there is a lot of programs out there that offers to sell ready made websites in different niches, but in this day and age, they don't convert.

My advice is to stick with one niche, and one website. Grow that website to make at least $3k a month, then start a new one, at the same time, manage the existing one.
Reply
JamezMonroe Premium
Actually, this is exactly what I meant. Building websites one after another when each of the previous ones has been stabalized with a passive income, then build a next one. Not all at once of course.

I will not avoide the paid traffic, otherwise the process might be endless, and besides, I can't picture making a big cash by only having a free traffic, not to mention making millions like most of the very successful marketers talk about,

Would I still need contents for going for affiliate marketing??

See, this is what Anik offers in the "Inbox Blue Print" package.
All pre-written contents for Opt-In pages and emails for newsletters (email marketing) for different niches.
It might be a good idea though to combine WA with his product.

What do you thing converts best and most?
Because what you're saying now contradicts what the marketers portray, sell or promise. It sounds like you can't generate big passive incomes no more.

I have lots of ideas about this from this brief video. I like the idea of having a variety of ways to make money. I have a non-profit that I want to monetize, and I know what I want to do. I am working on promo for that non-profit via a blog. But I also want to make money for myself, and I get excited about having a store, a multi-layered business, variety.

Well that is something that you're definitely capable of doing here at wealthy affiliate, and many people here are managing many different websites in different niches.

I have been an educator since 1972. From that perspective, I will say that you have a good, encouraging, thoughtful, well-paced and confidence-inspiring approach. I can kind of tell the "generational" difference, but that is irrelevant. Keep up the good work. And it is great to know that you are probably making 50 times (100? 200?) as much $$ as I make, with my degrees and vita (and which you likely have as well) ...but it's not a race, right? I am really happy I found this spot. Bob

I have a question or two: If I were a premium member and wanted to host my existing WP Blog on WeatlhyAffiliate, would this be essentially the same as hosting on, say, Bluehost (I am not asking for a critique of another hosting service, but trying to determine if WA affords what I need in a hosting site.

Second: If I were a premium member and I were creating a site for sales, and if I already have a store set up on "shopify" then can I relocate that store to WA (again, not asking for a "review" of shopify, but wanting to know if I can be efficient with my work already done in using the WA Premium membership.

Thanks

Yes, no different at all, other than the fact that our hosting here is top tier.

The Managed Wordpress hosting you have access to here at WA is matched by very few hosts in the industry in terms of quality, security, speed, and support. It definitely is not a budget host like the other shared hosting companies out there. The hosting you get here at WA is comparable to $250 per MONTH hosting packages.

You can learn more about it here:

http://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/hosting/

You can host up to 25 of your own domains and 25 free .siterubix.com websites on your Premium hosting platform here at WA.

As for shopify, there are plugins in wordpress that you can use, but entire shopify stores are proprietary and they use proprietary technology and you will want to use them over there.

The video was clear and concise plus the discussion answered most of my questions but I still have a couple. If you already have a passion you want to focus on how do you create a niche or find the niche within it? Secondly, from the discussion I assume Amazon is the easiest to become an affiliate with, how difficult is it to become an affiliate with Walmart, EBay etc?
Reply
@RICH. Premium
I'd recommend you work in a niche you are truly passionate about, there's nothing more dreary than writing content year-after-year about a topic that bores you to tears!

It often helps to think about what problems you can solve for other people with your knowledge, as it's often those searching for solutions who will make up the bulk of your visitors.

One of the reasons Amazon is popular, is that they accept "barely there" sites, ebay and Walmart require a site that's established and that's getting some traffic.

Hi, Tamara!

Rich makes an excellent point. You are passionate about being a citizen of the world. That is an excellent niche with a lot of possibilities. The people you have met on your travels who learned from you is your niche.

Later in the training, you will learn about focusing your blog posts with keywords so people searching for the information and advice you have to offer can find you.

Walmart does have an affiliate program and it's easy to join. You can learn more about it here: https://affiliates.walmart.com/#!/

I guess I may be a little thick, however; I am not sure of the reason for the affiliate link for this page. Am I supposed to be sending this to people I know, friends who might be interested in joining the workforce or would this be towards clientele who may be interested in becoming affiliates? Somewhere along the line I dropped the ball on the reason for the affiliate link for this page. I'm not quite sure who I'm supposed to be sending this to because this appears to be the training video and I'm in a loss as to who I should be targeting here.

Let me make sure I am on the right track. As I live on the Atlantic coast of southern Florida I felt an appropriate niche and one I enjoy is water sports and Marine equipment, as it is a year-round industry here. We are all pretty much aware that Amazon and say eBay list both new and used equipment in this niche, however; is it possible to also represent say Yamaha personal watercraft? How about both new and used listings or factory direct representation? Or am I getting ahead of myself?

I learned from watching the "How to Make Money Online" that is, i.e., the "process," was to clear and to the point.

Steps of the Process

1. Establish a website, i.e,. foundation
2. Decide on a niche - use Google search engine to come up with
ideas. Also, researching and comparing similar niches of
interest is good idea to determine if it is niche to use.
3. Attract your Audience (traffic). Use social media websites, i.e.
Facebook and Twitter to name a few, to determine what people
are interested in.
4. Launch your website with the overall goal of getting it ranked.
5. Your audience visits your website and purchase a product or
service.
6. You receive a commission $$$$$$$$$$.

Enjoyed the video! Thank you WA.

I have spent some time breaking down the process in the most simplistic way possible. Success online is at the core a 4 step process and I have broken them down within this video: Broken, down, the process looks like this:

Step 1: Choose your niche
Step 2: Build your website/content
Step 3: Get rankings in search engines (leads to traffic)
Step 4: Monetize your traffic (the make money part, through affiliate programs, etc!)

This applies in absolutely every niche and as you work through the training here at WA, you are going to be walked through this exact process. This is fundamental for ANY success online.

If you have any further questions let me know Deborah. :)

to make it simple, your audience(someone) is searching for an item to buy, they come across your website because your website is ranked in the top ten searches with means your site is on the first page. then they buy something off of your site and you get a commission. in the beginning, when you set up your website, this is what you are striving for. this is the bottom line. if done correctly you can have a lot of success.

well, it takes time for google to analyze a website, don't worry your site is coming up. I talked about this earlier, google has this tool called google analytics and what it does is analyze your site for broken links, if you copy content from an another site.(this slows your ranking so don't do this) so google does all this for you. google has a ton of websites to analyze a day, and this is a first design first analyze. so you really have nothing to worry about it just takes a little time. also ranking go up and down don't stress it, it's normal. still, keep moving forward, you'll get there.

You should be dreading anything at all. This should be fun.

A niche can honestly be anything, what are you passionate about? What are you interested in?

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

I want to help people that ______________.

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

The videos range in length, the key is taking action on the tasks after you learn what to do. There is no "set time" in which it takes, your business is a journey and a work in progress, hopefully the learning never stops.

I would dedicate at least 3 months to get the foundation of your business up and running and to start having some major breakthroughs. It took me 3 months to make my first sale online, here I am 15 years later full time online.

When you sign up for an affiliate site and promote their product you will get a commission based on a percentage. Let's say for example shareasale they list all of the affiliates on there site along with a commission rate. In order to collect a commission however you have to have someone purchase that product. With this website you can either have a check sent out or have it direct deposited into your account. But you also have to take into account that it won't release the money u til you make a certain amount.

Yeah, that is correct. There are thresholds with these companies, but you will hit these as you build out your websites. You will be making MANY sales per day, likely across many different affiliate programs and networks at some point.

You definitely have a good grasp as to how affiliate programs work!
