While trying to create a website that suits the need of your audience, it is equally important to put Google’s preferences into consideration.
Search Engine Optimization is simply the process that increases your website’s visibility in search results. Users find you easily when they search for information that is relevant to your niche or business.
I’ll talk about some guidelines that will potentially improve your site’s SEO and attract Google’s attention to your business.
Determine Credibility
The credibility of your website plays a huge role in SEO. Your website should be able to win Google’s trust. Google is becoming difficult to track; its algorithm can easily identify spun content, poor use of grammar, readability scores, and to some extent, technical errors on a website.
These mistakes could turn off users which in turn tells Google that your site isn’t credible enough. The downside of this scenario is that your site will lose Google’s trust, which also affects the ranking.
Creating valuable content that meets the needs of users’ queries is a surefire way to attract Google’s interest to your site. Carefully pick words and phrases that are most likely searched by your audience, write informative content around those researched keywords.
This would feed your target audience with the exact information they want. If your site’s content exudes credibility without depending on keyword stuffing tactics, Google will most likely make your website appear among the top search results.
Do you use the AIO plugin? I love the new one, offering an SEO score and telling you how it was reached. The items in red in each category give you an idea what needs changing or improving. Since getting the updated AIO, my SEO ratings are usually between 85 to 97. The one thing that seems to be a problem for me is using passive voice; I do it too often and lose points because of it. I think that plugin really helps me improve my writing.
