You don't HAVE TO use a horizontal line in the middle of a post... sorry if I gave you that impression.

One member was having an issue where she needed the HR line so she could show the obvious separation from her content.

Hmmm... note to self... try to be a little better at explaining things.

I've used the HR lines myself when I need to separate my content from... let's say, a disclosure at the very bottom of my web page (though I use my footer for disclosures). It's simply a tool for separating content is all.
