In choosing a title the first thing for us to do is to formulate a title as to our taste. The taste that we would think our visitors are interested in.

Let's try to have a sample as agreed upon and this is what we come up with, Affiliate Marketing Secret Revelation.

Hi - thank you for this training, but I am not sure what you are suggesting. Are you saying your keyword is "Affiliate Marketing Secret Revelation"? This has less than 10 searches and would result in less than 10 visits. This is because its not a phrase that people would search for.

Plus, you wouldn't search Google Images to check your chosen keyword.

Neither do I understand why you are saying that if a domain already has the keyword in it, the post wouldn't get indexed or ranked. If that were true, then any posts relating to Wealthy Affiliate wouldn't get ranked or indexed because there is a domain called wealthyaffiiliate.com.

This whole post would be confusing for newbies.

Hi, Diane. This is only an example of how we would choose a keyword for our post. My interest here in Jaaxy is that the competition is zero, meaning if it's indexed I solely own that keyword. When it comes to visits we can grow that through promotions as we are taught here.

Regarding the images, we only search for that at the time of our keyword formulation to see if there is ready support if ever we post it. I discovered that keywords with ready images in Google can easily be indexed.

On the domain, if you write an article in a keyword which is already encompassed by an existing domain, maybe it will be indexed, but you will be robbed of organic search because there is already a domain that sucks the visitors. They own the domain with a website that includes your keyword. If you own the domain and you own the keyword there's no problem.

I think I understand what you just wrote. My website is called Affiliate Marketing For Leaders. I own the domain name. And the keyword is in the title. Hence It ranks #1 in the first page of the Search Engined.

But here is the problem. My domain name and title is not a search phrase anyone will use. Although this gives me a good feeling, it has not helped me and nor will it ever.

What you have proven is if we can make a domain name using a keyword that someone will really use, then that makes eminent sense. So your point is well taken.

Cheers.

I believe it is a search phrase but the point here in your keyword is about leaders. I think it is good but it looks broad. What leaders are we targeting? Are they leaders of the government or non-government who will go on affiliate marketing? It seems to be this kind of keyword will go the long run for a news item informing people of what is happening to some particular leaders. It's really difficult to have a targetted audience for the money business. Maybe they like it but they lose interest because it will not make them money. But that website could be a good channel for awareness and education.

I like the education aspect as that is how I’m approaching my blogs.

However, if Jay, Kyle and other experts are correct, the blog post titles carry far more weight than the website title. We use our posts to create traffic. Hence I’m not that concerned with this specific title. I was less informed at that time.

I will select my next URL differently.

Thanks for your insights.

You are right, post titles will carry the website. It doesn't matter what your website title is. After all, people will just type keywords and if that keyword is on your website surely people will find your website too. So we build our website with keywords for our targeted audiences.

I was wondering what is the difference between HTML and .org ?

Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), a standardized system for tagging text files to achieve font, color, graphic, and hyperlink effects on World Wide Web pages.
"an HTML file"
While .org is, is a generic top-level domain (gTLD) of the Domain Name System (DNS) used in the Internet. The name is truncated from organization. It was one of the original domains established in 1985, and has been operated by the Public Interest Registry since 2003. (Wkipedia)
