It is that simple! I have noticed that some people do change the default I have set and ask not to be notified, but there are many that leave it.
When I am on a website leaving a comment, I always look for a box like this because sometimes I really want to be notified if a question I asked has been answered. I look forward to receiving the email saying the site owner left me a comment.
Like I said, if people are leaving you comments via site comments, then they will have to remember to go back and check to see if a reply has been made.
But the plugin is great for non WA members, or members who are leaving a comment but not via Site Comments.

Usually I go to somebody's website back which I see interesting to look for answers to my comments. Sometimes some sites are so far away from my interests, that I do not know how to extend conversation. Luckily, there are many inspiring and fascinating sites, that sometimes I forget to comment. After reading, I go back to particular page which was offered for input.

That is great that you are going back to sites you were interested in. I wish more people did that. I had someone outright disagree with a post of mine and I left a very detailed response but I never heard back from the poster. I was really hoping he would come back and reply to my comment.

I think it happens when people overwhelmed with tasks. They want to learn, participate in community life and leave comments too. Your tutorial helps to stay on track. Thanks:)
