I have heard of pretty links but I just paste the link into some text on my content,

Hi Tom, It depends where you are posting it. In some social networks, the affiliate link is hidden. If it isn't hidden and it is an affiliate link it normally stands out like a sore thumb. If you are posting a link on a YouTube video or somewhere similar it generally looks better your website . com/ twitter instead of leadmachinetweeter . com /affiliate 8194567 please note these are made up links not real in case someone thinks I am trying to promote something ;-) Just an example. Of course, I do not use affiliate links on YouTube videos as they can be trigger happy. But I may create social media URLs etc. Or links to a specific page on my blog or a blog post that is relevant to the video.

this was very helpful. I haven't had much experience with plug-ins as yet so only have the basics until I become more familiar with what I need and want. This one is a good one to have so have added this as one of my tags.

Yes indeed, not only does this plugin make links look better, but a lot more people tend to click on them than large ugly affiliate links or bit.ly links or other URL shorteners. Which often look they could be a hacked website or something dodgy.
