So in the previous lesson we talked about answering Page 1 Quora questions to generate traffic.

Now let's talk about answering questions WITHIN Quora.

When you set up your account with Quora, you'll have the option to select your interests or areas you have knowledge in.

I would recommend adding all the topics relevant to your niche! That way you will be notified and the first to see new questions in that topic.

I personally spend around 20-30 minutes a day answering questions on Quora.

Once you start answering, you'll get more and more 'requests' to answer more questions.

Tip: Try answering questions that don't have many (or any) other answers yet. That way, you'll be more likely to be the 'featured' answer shown and get more views.

Try and write more than a few sentences; I usually go for around three paragraphs or so. Longer answers tend to be shown more.

What I often find is that the same question is asked again and again, so I have a 'go-to' answer that I can simply cut and paste over.

So, that's pretty simple stuff.

What I want to talk about last of all is WHY this is so good.

Quora referrals are known to have lower bounce rates and a longer session duration than other sources. This is because, if they liked your answer enough to click through to your site, chances are that they'll like the site too!

In fact, Quora is the second highest source of referrals on the web, in front of Twitter and other huge platforms!

So get going!

DISCLAIMER: Do NOT post affiliate links on Quora. You can link to your site, but affiliate links WILL GET YOU BANNED. Thanks.

Tasks 0/2 completed

I have been a member of Quora for some time and yes I do get questions in my email inbox.
My question is I have never left an affiliate link on Quora so how do we do that without being warned off?
Could you show me rather than tell me?
As in screenshots.Thanks so much.

Hi Janet,
Affiliate links are a no-no on Quora. Never post an affiliate link- it could get you banned.
However, you can post links to your own sites safely.
When you are writing an answer, highlight the text you want to link from and click this button.

So does that mean I can put my website address in a link with the highlighted text?
I thought so but needed to confirm.
Thanks for replying and answering my blonde moment question.LOL

Yes that's right! As I said, make sure you DON'T include affiliate links, just links to your blog. Thanks!

This is great Benjamin. Well Done.
I never thought about Quora.
I am going to do the tasks shortly and jump on board. I am just finishing up a blog over 3,000 words and now about o step away from the screen for a while to refresh.
On one last note, we are lucky to have found WA. There is so much collective knowledge and talent within it's platform.

Thanks! Neil Patel has a great article about using Quora if you want to do some further reading; it’s one of the best sources of referrals out there. Thanks for the comment!
