In this video I explain what are the Google Site Links, why they are so important and how to get them.
Since I got the site links my rankings jumped a lot higher, my traffic doubled or even tripled and of course the income started rising.

Hey Alex,
Great video. I will say that it had never occurred to me that some sites get those extra fancy results in google and others don't. I mean I had noticed the difference but I had never though about why lol. Not really sure how it went right past me now that I think about it. And those site links also encourage people to click because you look different than everything else on the search results page.
Waiting out the age of a site can be very frustrating to say the least, its amazing how old it feels to us when it is barely a blip on Googles radar (if even that).
So what do you think about people who have already chosen a keyword specific domain? Does that mean they just need to cut their losses and keep it in mind for the future. I mean I guess they could get a new domain and redirect everything but I am not sure how much you would need to take into consideration for that lol.

Now about sitelinks... If your site is already somewhat active and you've been working at it for a while... personally I would just stick to it and not worry about changing domains and all that. Who knows, it might end up getting sitelinks at some point. Site links are great to have but it's not the #1 priority and I am sure you know this.
But as you mentioned, it's something that people should keep in mind for their future websites ;)

I usually set up Webmaster Tools for a brand new site at the same time I set and get my Google Analytics property code. Following those steps I submit my sitemap on Webmaster Tools for Google to learn about the existence of my new site. These are one of the very first things we need to do. :)

Thanks Alex :) The best thing is to install the "All In One SEO" WordPress plugin and set it up. If you follow the setting up process, the plugin will ask you for your Google Analytics property ID and then you go and set everything I mentioned at the same time. Plus, you connect the Google Analytics property and Webmaster Tools site together. Also, that very same plugin has an option you should check to make your site Google Site Links friendly. :)
