If you want to rank on the first page of Google, it's all about finding low competition keywords. In this short video tutorial, I will demonstrate how I find the best keywords that will give the best chance of showing up on Google page 1. After all Google page 1 = traffic. Traffic = potential sales.

If you can get this bit right, then the rest is really about writing great content; but that's a topic for another time...

I have no idea how or why but I think this is probably one of my Top 10 Tutorials I ran into per week.

If ever anyone has trouble trying to understand Keyword Research or how to read the Data Numbers and info in the WA KW, I always am reminded to pass this Tutorial onto them. Whether through WA LC or in a PM. ^_^

Thanks again Marcus! :D

Nice video Marcus.

Knowing how to use the competition metrics is really important. I imagine, depending on your niche and your strategy, you can try to go even lower in QSR , possibly to rank faster or go higher if your content is more detailed and maybe you feel you can get that higher ranking over time.

Nice work and thank you !

Thanks Marcus. Makes good sense to me, very helpful. I am a relative newbie and have written a few posts/pages in my website www.eldergolfer.com. Can I now go and edit them to include keywords I have found using your procedure and will that help in my ranking? RobertC.

Just 1 question. When choosing a keyword do you not use the article power figure.
Thanks,

I liked it too! So much so that I will link to it on my website, if you don't mind, Marcus?

Sure, but just be aware that this is Premium member content. When they click through to it, they will see a pop-up saying that they can only view it by signing up as a Premium member. to see what I mean, try going to the URL in an incognito window in Chrome, and you will see what a non-member will see

Of course, this might get you a few premium referrals, who knows...

I really need to stop aiming for the Competition to be under 100. I should revise that and aim for Competition being under 50 or at least under 10 for the Epic Fantastic Win. :D

And, as Marcus the Marvelous and Magnificent said if it is below 10, you're laughing really. Well, to be honest I was laughing because yes it was hilarious but it got me thinking as to why didn't I see this before? Why did I not implement going under 10 before? Well, guess it ain't too late to start changing my ways around then. :)

I have much to learn still, thanks for this Marcus, it was beyond brilliant really. :) Awesome Video Training as usual. ^_^

Surely I Bookmarking this and if I need to share how Keyword Research is done in a visual walkthrough manner, I will definitely pass this on as a way of ya'll say it with me now: "Paying It Forward." ^_^

Ever so grateful,

~Angel

Sometimes the low competition keywords can be a challenge to find.
Jay recommends 75 searches and 75 competition will get the results you need. I would stick with those numbers.
