Just a quick training today, but it's a great tool that you can use every day (and it's simple). When making posts in Google Plus, you can actually change format the text to use

  • Bold
  • Italics
  • Strikethrough

It's very useful for catching the eyes of impatient readers with short attention spans, or making your comments stand out among the crowd. Once you get in the habit, it almost becomes natural to do it anywhere, even though it doesn't work everywhere. You might see me try to *emphasize* something in chat now and then :)

Social media can be a powerful way to meet people in your niche and get your content out to the world. Even a small advantage such as this could make a difference.

Appreciate the tips; FYI - I personally found the music distracting.

thanks.

Was it just the presence of music or the volume? This is something I've considered before.

so much for "maybe some music will help" then eh?

I think the presence. I do music sometimes as an into/exit for my own videos but when I'm trying to listen and learn it just seems unneeded.

It's not HORRIBLE, just some constructive feedback

thanks

Definitely understood. I also find that each listening device produces different results. I find it slightly distracting on headphones, but I barely audible with my speakers. Thanks for the feedback.

@DomW LOL. You just HAD to follow this thread.

Thanks Nathaniell I have been using the bold one regularly but not the other two. Good tips. It really does make a post pop better when formatting is used.
