In the last few weeks I have much talked about the difference between comments and feedback, and on how to best leverage comments, even negative ones, to our own advantage.

If you want to find out more, check out the relevant links:

and

In this video, I want to show you how you can edit a comment showing spelling mistakes and grammatical imperfection. But I also want to show you how to leverage a negative comment, by trying to encourage a conversation with the visitor that left that comment, which could potentially attract the attention of other viewers. And as we all know, the more visitors we get to our websites, the higher our SEO ranking will get!

So, I hope you enjoy this training and I hope you find it of help. By all means, do leave your comment below and let me know if you need further clarification.

And if you can spare a few seconds, do click on the 'Like This' green button.

Thank you for watching!

Thank you so much. I didn't realize that we could edit gramatic errors on comments. What is to stop an author from changing the comment completely?

That's a good point, Jennifer. Hopefully most of us are operating on the Honor Code. I would have no doubt that if someone was drastically revising comments made on a regular basis, at some point, it would come back to them. Karma never sleeps....

I have to agree with Veronica on this one, and would like to think that at least here we all operate with ethics.

I agree. If I don't like a particular comment and can't spin it, maybe I would just not approve it. I would never make a twist on the actual comment to a positive. Just not right!

Thanks Giulia (:

I like the idea of handling negative comments professionally.

It shows people, that you're not hyping, or dressing things up to look good..
..but rather down to earth, addressing the problem at hand directly & providing genuine help for customer

Thumbs up from me (:

Henry

Good afternoon Giulia,

Now that was a clever tip as I had no idea one could modify a comment. Thank you for this video, to see something explained like that is easier for me to understand.
