Hi WA friends.

This is my very first training. I just couldn't seem to come up with a good subject except for those that have been covered over and over again. This one may have been too; but I need to give it a shot sometime, so here goes.

Editing and Deleting on the WA Forum

Many people, especially our new friends, don't know how to edit or delete a post or a comment here on the WA forum. I know for several months after I came here; I didn't even know that you could edit or delete. I used to think I'd better get it right before I hit the dreaded "publish" button. Because after hitting it; I was stuck with whatever mistakes I made this time. I was panicking one night because I lost half of my post; when a wonderful WA friend taught me what I needed to know. Aren't WA members the greatest?

Just like so many learning experiences;

it is very simple. (after you learn how)

I tried answering a question by a member, asking "How do I delete this comment"; and found that it wasn't so easy when you are unable to locate the illusive menu arrow. It is very hard to see; and also very temperamental, in my experience. Sometimes I need to hit it several times before I get the menu.

In any case, I will be explaining first with text, and then I will make it a easier to find by showing you a screen shot.

So here we go!

Is it possible or recommended to edit your blog title or headline once it has been published?

After you publish, you can edit the title, but you don't want to mess with the permalink.

Hi Steve, when I edited the title I noticed it automatically saved but after closing the draft the title remained unchanged. By the way this question is for a post on WA.

I have done it. Make sure that you go to Google Search Console and have them re crawl the url.

Did you get this problem solved?

Hi Jean,

I accidentally deleted the post by deleting the draft after editing the title. I may re-post the blog again since I have backup copies of everything I write. The post was only a day old at the time. Thank you for asking!

Well done Jeannie, that was great for your first training and I know what you mean, how hard it is to pick something that hasn't already been done time and time again.

The first one is the worst one. You nailed it. xx

Thanks Cheryl. I was going to do one on the difference between comments and feedback; but I found a very good training on it. Unfortunately there are a lot of people that don't understand the difference. Have a good day.
