You may wonder why write so much and why 1,000 words?

BETTER RANKING

If you want to rank better or outrank some other posts that's using the same keyword that's already on page 1, this is one of the ways to do it.

If you want to outrank someone, just check how many words they have been written, and then out write them. This has worked for me several times.

Google likes more content, and if it sees that you have more words on your post, you will rank better overall because it will offer more info to people who are searching and that's what Google always want, to serve their customers better with more info.

However, don't add more words for the sake of it, make sure any additional info you add is worthy of being there. Google likes quality content.

BETTER AVG. SESSION DURATION

The more you content you have on your page, the longer your visitors will stay on your site, the better your Avg. Session Duration stats on your Google Analytics, which in turn will also give you better ranking.

THE MORE YOU WRITE THE EASIER IT IS

Literally, I cannot write a post that is under 1,000 words anymore... My posts have 1,200 - 2,000 and usually it's on the upper end.

I've never been a writer, never liked writing that much in my life, but since I've been determined to make my online business a success one day, I've been writing since I started here and have increased my writing in 2017.

It seems the more I've been doing it, the easier it is to write. I'm not writing anything hard or difficult, it's all conversational like writing an email to a friend. I just make sure it makes sense and it's pretty much how I'm writing now.

I hope this little tutorial will help you write more and easily come up with 1,000 words!

You are so right, Google loves that content but the original content is the best, it will get you ranked quicker, and yes as you write more and more the words will flow out easily. I took your advice and I'm riding with it, You have achieved your goals and I like people that move on with a purpose. I know you are so thrilled right now, and I want you to enjoy every minute of it.

Thanks for your post, I read it again for my delight and motivation, I'll be following you real close because I see that you're a winner.

Good read. I've never liked writing that much, mainly because I'm slow at it. However, I've picked a couple of niches that I'm passionate about, so writing about them will make it easier and more enjoyable.

It's good to know it gets better with practice.
Reply
littlemama Premium
Yes it makes a big difference if you like the topic that is why the training always tells you to start with your passions and interests.

Practice certainly makes it easier. A post used to take me like 10 hours then nowadays, it's 2.5 - 4 hours depending on what I'm writing about.

Best of luck to you!

Excellent post Littlemama thank you for sharing this.

I totally relate to what you're saying when you talk about writing as if you're having a conversation with a friend as long as you communicate effectively.

That's how I practice. When someone follows me I tend to go off on a couple hundred or more word message and pretend as if I'm having that conversation in person.

It's really a good way to start writing the more you do it the easier it gets. So I totally agree with what you're saying.

Thanks again

Hi Grace, nice to meet you!
This was a great post. It will make my writing so much easier, since I find it difficult to organize my thoughts and to actually write the post so it's engaging to readers.

This training is an excellent motivator. I love what you said that by writing more, 1,000 words no less, it will become easier with more practice. And that by doing so, will rank much better in Google.

Thank you so much for your help! I look forward to seeing more of your training in the near future. Keep up the good work!

I absolutely believe that writing gets easier and you will get into a pattern or style of writing which can turn into a template or something you do often.

It's actually hard for me to write under 1000 words these days and one day you will find this too.

Best of luck to you!

I just want to verify the metrics from Jaaxy for "how to lose 10 pounds in 1 month". Searches = 73 and QSR = 43. So not quite the 100 searches, but close enough?

Now, what would you suggest for the keyword "Reading for Stress Relief" for 3-5 topics to write about?

I am curious if I am on the right track here:

Where does your stress come from (work, school, kids)
What things in life interest you (travel, gardening, movies)
Do you read regularly (daily, once per week, once per month)
What kinds of books do you enjoy (non-fiction, thriller, biography)

Good points. Thank you.
I am a kind of reader who doesn't like to read a long post. However, Google ranking is definitely not considering readers like me. So it appears that the longer the post, the better the Google ranking.
Reply
littlemama Premium
That's the thing though, the longer posts provide different answers to different people searching for that keyword. One keyword doesn't necessary equal one answer. So if you break up your long post with several sections as I explained, some will get their answer from one section, some will get answers from 2 or more.

It's not to annoy readers but provide as much info as possible and I think that's what Google likes us to do, provide lots of relevant info. :)

hmmm interesting. I didn't want to read long posts, and will flit between sites till I find what I'm looking for. So have been keeping my posts short. I think, I will now mix it up and have longer ones with great headings and smaller ones.
Reply
littlemama Premium
Having a mix is definitely good too, but the longer posts will give more info to different mix of people looking for answers for that one keyword. There isn't just one thing people look for per keyword so if you can cover more bases, then you are being helpful to many different visitors looking for different things for that one keyword.

I know the 'rules' are to write long posts, but I have to wonder if that helps us or helps our readers. Personally, if I'm looking for an answer to something and I see a post that goes on and on, I'm more likely to search for something that gives me the bottom line. Don't a lot of quality shorter posts accomplish the same thing? What do you guys think?
Reply
Biggsta Premium
From my experience, I do a lot of articles on MLM companies and programs, and that alone comes out to be around 2 thousand words. No one really wants to read long posts, but if you add the right heading to make the reader understand where to find the info they are looking for, that will really help out. But for myself, I personally like short articles, but for SEO purposes, I try to make my articles over a thousand words minimum. Just have your Headings help your readers find what they are looking for. Hope that helped out :) Have a great one.
Reply
littlemama Premium
I think it helps both, because on any one keyword, there are many topics you can talk about and people are searching for different things on that one keyword, so if you can cover in that one article all the different topics than it would be beneficial to all kinds of visitors of that post. @Biggsta has the right idea with the headings, and that's what I do, they can jump down to the info they really want to read about.
Reply
littlemama Premium
Thanks Jaime for your input and you are exactly right. :) I do this in every post so people can jump to the answer they are looking for.

A lot of my posts are about upcoming products and information to be excited about so it is difficult to always make those 1,000 word posts, but I always at least make sure the minimum is 500 words.
