Have a hard time figuring out what a niche is and no matter how much you listen you just can not get it?
I was same way,I want to share what I learned with you on how to finally focus and get down to one niche.

First I think you missed the intro you should have on niche basics. My opinion only. The part about a niche being something you would want to have a certain passion for to begin with. And, also a interest in as well. And, be willing to work within this niche area for no pay... for months, possibly even your first year!
Then perhaps onto breaking it down as you have done so well here. Just in case someone comes along who is not all that certain what a niche really is.
But good job on using jaxxy to show how this software can be used to break down a larger niche group, into a smaller one. Keep up the tutorials. It's a good way to reach traffic and help others. Good job.

Yes I would say it is newbie friendly. The only changes would be of course to introduce quickly what a nich is, so when someone comes along who is unaware, you grab their attention as well. In 30 seconds you could explain about the niche. The whole other time focus on the niche break down as you have done here.

I am a complete newbie and trying to figure out my niche at the present time, so thank you for this video. However, I still do not understand the numbers of the searches, traffic, QSR, Dig or what numbers not to go over and what does these numbers actually mean. I understand to keep narrowing my niche searches just not the numbers that go with it. Also, being a newbie, I cannot afford Jaaxy just yet, and know that you can only get 30 searches for free. I tried the WA keyword tool, but really did not understand very well. What others beside dmoz or jaaxy can I use to do keyword search

Ok, numbers to left use dog as example,
dog 29000000 that is how many searches are done a month next number is the amount of traffic to web site you could get
3rd number is competition in wa keyword tool. That is how many is writing about this subject,
Article power is how high ranked you will potentially get.
ppc do not worry bout right now.
The way it breaks down, the more searches listed in number 1 , the better,
number 3 is the big number to look at, it should be under 100,the more the better.
(for wa tool it is as follows: example Page 6 of about 495 results means there is a total of 495 pages wrote on this subject, You want one that is more like Page 2 of about 104 results)Or even lower under 100 is better)
Look at that like there is only 104 pages total I have to beat to be on first page compared to first example here you had to beat 496 pages)
I hope that helps some, I use wa tool it is just as good,just not as done for you.
4th one hit the button a couple of times and try to find closer to 10.
so u want o see the following
