Step 1: Apply For Your Google AdSense Account (duh!)
It is important to first make sure that you have some content already on your website before applying for Google AdSense. At this point you should have your ‘About me’ page, ‘Privacy Policy’ page, and a few posts on your site.
Once Google reviews your site and deems your site as useful then you should receive an email indicating that your site has been approved*.
*Keep in mind this process can take up to a few days so keep posting new content as you normally would in the meantime.

so when I went to paste it into the text box, there was already about a paragraph of words in there. So should I delete what is already in there? I don't wan't to delete it in case its important. Should I just paste it in below?
From the looks of it, I would guess that the text that is already there is an Aweber thing.

Hey there Belinda thx for this, worked great for me.
Just wondering, do you know if a single ad unit is set to auto-size, can a person simply use that one single ad unit throughout a site (ie in a sidebar widget as well as in main content on various pages) and have the whole thing work out OK?
The reason I ask this is because in the interest of keeping things as simple as possible, I would be happy to run with a single ad unit if it does the trick.
Cheers,
chris

Thanks I got my adsense ad up and running but it does not fit properly. The right edge is cut off and for some of them you can't read the whole thing. Not sure what to do about that. I've posted a question so hopefully I will get an answer. http://weight-management-diet.com/

Hi.. i came back here as the information I got last time was first class.. so hope you don't mind me intruding again :)
The adsense is up and running on my site now .. but if you visit my site, on each page the adverts are running on the footer of the pages under the comments..
My question is this.. with the layout of my site .. and it is just my impression, but the adverts i think would not get much exposure tucked in the bottom there. What do you think?
Would they be maybe better in skyscraper format under the information in the left bar? or somewhere else?
Just trying to make my site look professional, without to many ads dominating, but to put them in a position with better exposure and the more chance of them being noticed..!!
Any advice would be welcome..
Thanks all :)
