On the previous pages I showed how I have diversified my income by utilizing the knowledge I have gained from the Wealthy Affiliate Online Training. I have email alerts sent to me by job search engines and I use Craigslist to find other income opportunities both part-time and full-time plus freelancing.
I recently wrote a WA blog called 6 Ways to Make Money at Wealthy Affiliate in 2018 and in it I describe the 6 ways I have diversified income from what I have gained from the training. The last three ways deal with what I have discussed in this tutorial. The above image shows another website I use.
In order to find other opportunities it takes research and sometimes I like to look at a recommendation list of opportunities. This freelance writing gigs website gives me the picks of the day which are gleaned off of the same websites I described on the previous page; Craigslist, Monster, Indeed and others.
In the image above are the selections for Friday October 12, 2018 and the link I want to look at says, Freelance Web Content Writer – United Way. This caught my eye because the United Way is a national organization responsible for charitable fundraising and community support.
In the above image the job details state that this is a contract job starting October 2018 and concluding around February 2019. The content writer will be working on the United Way’s website redesign project. Think of how cool it would be to contribute to that organization’s redesigned website.
Then in the last group of links in above image for freelance opportunities, I looked at something else we all learn and engage with here at WA. Social Media Marketing. I realize this may not be for all of you because I know many of you still have your fear of using social media. But if you did, you could do this.
As seen above, this is a part-time position as a Social Media Marketing Intern that pays $10.00 USD per hour and you work 20 hours per week. So that is about $200.00 per week. Your job is to help post things on the company’s social media networks; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google and LinkedIn.
Both of these income opportunities I listed on this page from the freelance writing gigs website are most likely gigs you can do from home. The majority of links provided on this website are mostly available to people outside of where the job work is located. That is another thing I like about this website.
DIVERSIFYING INCOME TAKES TIME
I have been a member of Wealthy Affiliate since August 2013. I didn’t begin by thinking about diversification of the income I could gain from the training here. I figured that the training would make it possible to earn though affiliate marketing and that is it. But no, there are other ways to earn.
The training provided to all WA members not only gives you the knowledge to build your own website businesses, but also provide the same knowledge to other people’s / company’s websites who are seeking help. So that is what I started doing around 2015 / 2016, diversifying my income.
I recommend that you first follow and implement the training by Kyle here within WA, create a website with a fair amount of quality content, and become more confident in your abilities. Only if you feel comfortable with what you can do for other websites, then start looking to diversify like I did.
There are many ways we can earn income from the knowledge we gain here at WA. Do not forget that you are not confined to making money only through your websites. You can even make money with your WA blog, see link below. And both your website and WA blogs can be used as writing samples that potential employers will request.
