On the previous page I showed you how to find an area you wish to look for money making opportunities on Craigslist. On this page I will show you the actual links I do my searches for part-time and freelance opportunities, based on the skills I have learned from the WA training.

WHERE AND WHAT TO LOOK FOR

In the image above you can see what the Craigslist main search page looks like. Yours should look similar except it will have a different location mentioned at the top. Mine says North Jersey and yours will say the area you are searching. You do not need to have a Craigslist account to do searches.

Craigslist is a gold mine of opportunities for more than just jobs and gigs. You can buy and sell items, apply for and offer services, and a host of other things. In order to list on Craigslist you will need to set up a free account. WARNING – You cannot post affiliate links on Craigslist. They will be removed and your account may get closed.

Along the right side of the Craigslist search page is the column for JOBS and then GIGS. In the above image I am showing you the 5 links I search for money making opportunities based on knowledge we all gain from WA. Naturally you would only search the areas you feel most confident in performing.

I personally search the Web / Info Design and Writing / Editing links in the JOBS column, as well as the Computer, Creative and Writing links in the GIGS column. Opportunities listed in the JOBS column are most likely long-term and higher paying, whereas GIGS are short-term.

Clicking on the Writing / Editing link under JOBS, I was presented with the results shown in the image above. I decided to click on the ad that says, Hiring article and blog post writers for ongoing work. The reason why I chose this link is because it states that I can be ANYWHERE to apply for this job.

The above image shows you what the opportunity is about and how much you can be paid if accepted. Judging by what they say and that you can live anywhere to apply, this may be a hard job to get, but it does not hurt to apply anyways. In the below image are links to writing opportunities under GIGS.

This writing opportunity listed under GIGS says, Web/Magazine in Search of New Writers. For this opportunity you would need to live in or near the NYC, Harlem and Morningside area of New York. Where I live in Northern New Jersey, this would apply to me because I live nearby.

The image above shows a detailed explanation of what this writing gig is about. Unlike the other example above, this gig offers no payment information. I would be cautious about this listing because they may not offer more than just getting your content published and recognition applied.

In the above image we see another opportunity under JOBS for Web / Info Design. The job opportunity that caught my eye says, Website Designer Wanted Immediately. Seeing how WA has shown me how to design my own websites, perhaps I could do this job being listed, see below image for details.

Even though this job opportunity does not say how much the pay rate is, I still would apply if I felt confident that I could do the job. Then once compensation is established I could decide whether to continue or move on. Just because payment options are not listed, it does not mean none are available.
