I will introduce you the free image editors that I use:
- GIMP
- Canva
- Pixlr
- Paint
I use Canva and Pixlr most of the time.
Paint is the easiest to use but it is very limited. I use paint when I just want to crop and resize an image. All previous images were edited by using Paint.
GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program)
This is the most complicated software that I ever use. Mind you that (again) I am not a designer. All the buttons here are confusing for me. I am still learning to use this software.
You have to DOWNLOAD this software and install it on your computer. This is the best FREE image editor that rivaled paid Adobe Photoshop.
We will use one of the feature later. Go to https://www.gimp.org/ to download it
Canva
This is one of the most powerful free online image editors out there. They have a huge database of templates and icons and everything.
I love how Canva has a feature that allows you to see if your image is on the center of the canvas or not.
You can design a Facebook cover, a Youtube banner, or anything you can think of. They already have the canvas template that you can choose. Or if you want to make a specific canvas size, you just click use custom dimensions on the top right.
Go to https://www.canva.com/ to use it.
Pixlr
Pixlr has two choices. Pixlr EDITOR or Pixlr Express.
Pixlr Editor is powerful enough that you can work in layers. Just like Gimp or Photoshop. Of course, (again) since I am not an expert, I rarely use this feature.
I mainly use Pixlr Express for a good cropping. Pixlr allows you to choose the ratio, free or fixed.
It is very easy to use. You just have to pick the ratio. And then pick the width and height. After that, you move your cropping area to your liking and hit Apply.Go to https://pixlr.com/ to use it.
Now you already have Free Image Editors, Let's use them. CLICK NEXT!
Going to tag it, of course!
