Now that we are here we can input our custom channel URL:

You will type in the custom URL with no spaces between the words and if its unique to YouTube you will see the green check mark in the upper right.

Next, put a check mark once you agree and have read their terms of use.

And, finally click "Change URL" when you are satisfied with the name you have put in the box.

This is what you are looking for after clicking that button!

YouTube actually let's you see it one more time before making it final. So, check again that this is what you want and then click "Confirm Choice".

After that it takes you back to your YouTube channel page and you are done.

I hope this helps make it easier for you to change your goobledeegook URL into something that is human readable.
