I've been using the Tablepress plugin to create tables on my websites for the last couple of years - it's quick and easy to use and makes everything look so neat.

If you are looking for a way to add tables to your website I highly recommend you try out this plugin.

Hi Lynne, thank you for your training, this is what I'm looking for. :)

I have a question on top of that. I have 3 columns but I need to merge my third column as the information applies to all rows, how can I do that? Can I add bullet points to my table contents?

Regards,
Jasmine

Hi Jasmine

I'm so sorry, I missed your question here! I am not sure of the answer to those questions, are you still needing an answer? If you do I will have a closer look and see what I can figure out. I am sure you will be able to do those things.

Hi Jasmine

I would create a video for you showing how to merge but my laptop is on the blink and I have to buy a new one so until then I can't make any videos! I found a Youtube video but I am unable to post it here, so I will try and explain :)

You can't add anything to the top row, but if that top item relates to all the items in the rows below you can add this to each row in that column #rowspan# - include the hashtags. It will connect the rows.

You can do the same with the rows using #colspan# - once again just not the top row.

Regarding the bullet points you can use html :)

So to make an unordered list (bullet points) you add this code:
<ul>
<li>Add your first item text here</li>
<li>Add your second item text here</li>
<li>And continue adding all your items like this</li>
</ul>

If you want to make it an ordered list (as in a numbered list instead of bullet points) then instead of <ul> at the top you make that <ol> and at the end you put </ol> instead of </ul>

I hope that makes sense for you! Let me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards
Lynne
