Once you clicked 'Add New', a dialog box will appear where you need to complete with the new user details.

Follow these steps:

1. Username
   This is compulsory. You can choose whatever username you like. Basically you want to create something simple and reflect a name not something like 54hoae&*5 (you get what I mean).
   
   
2. Email address
   This is also required (compulsory). It is recommended to enter a valid e-mail address. This is important for future communication between Wordpress and the user e.g. reset password, general notification etc.
   
   
3. First Name (optional)
   
   
4. Last Name (optional)
   
   
5. Website (optional)
   
   
6. Password
   The password will be generated by Wordpress once the new user is created.
   
   
7. Notification
   Tick this option if you want the user to be notified.
   
   
8. Role
   This is the most important part in creating a new user for your Wordpress site. Different role will have different function and access level to the site. So, if you are hiring someone to help you with your website, you need to give the user the appropriate function and access.

Once you created a user, a password will be be generated.

At the same time, a notification e-mail will be sent to the new user's email to notify him a new username has been created for him.

In many cases, you need to send the username and password to the new user for him to access the site.

Basically, you have successfully created a new user for your site and now he can access to the site to carry out the function assigned to him.
