Make Sure They Show up in Your Main Menu

To make both your Home page and your Blog page appear within your main menu, we need to set them.

1) Go to Appearance again and select Menus

2) Select the Menu you want to edit. In our case, it's our Main Menu.

3) You should see your two most recent pages under the "Pages" category on the left hand side.

4) Select the page assigned to your blog and to your home page, and hit "Add to Menu".

5) Now your Blog page will appear at the complete bottom of the list on the right side.

6) Scroll down to find it and drag it into position. (I chose to have it third after my Home page and my Wealthy Affiliate review).

7) Hit "Save Menu" on the complete top right-hand corner!

Test them out!

Just go to your website afterwards and click on your home page button and blog button to make sure they are routing to the correct pages. And you are DONE!

Hey Reyhana, great post/tutorial. One question and pardon my ignorance i.e. confusion but what the goal of this tutorial; what are we, as people who implement this, going to get out this?

Hey Rodney. No worries! I'm sorry if I didn't explain it properly.

The aim of this tutorial is to help affiliate marketers change their homepage from blogroll to static.

By implementing this, you are able to minimize clutter on your homepage caused by the blogroll, decrease your bounce rate and increase your click-through and conversion rates.

Although some people like the look of the blogroll for their homepage, I personally think that it can cause confusion for your visitor, because they won't know which direction to take.

Alternatively, a static homepage provides easier navigation for the visitor when they come to your website, thus they will end up spending more time on your website, decreasing your bounce rate and increasing your click-through rate.

I trust this answers your questions?

Most def, I think everyone will be able to use this myself included; I have been growing a little concerned about the amount of visitors or lack thereof of late.

It happens from time to time... depending on what your niche is, it could be that people are more focused on enjoying the weather and going on vacation.

I have seen many people blog about the decrease of visitors to their website as of late, or decrease in conversions, but summer in the northern hemisphere is a BIG contribution to that.

Wow. I never thought of that, but I guess it stands to reason that people don't want to stay forever indoors given the weather of late so I guess in a small way I understand. If this was the winter then I guess conversions and traffic would be on the up-and-up because no one is going outside to freeze their behinds off versus staying indoors and being warm.

Exactly, because there is nothing better to do during winter than being indoors and most people would be on their phones and on their laptops. There's just not much else to do in that season.

True, true. Now I'm beginning to see why some people make it big starting out here; the seasons are a factor to that regard, I hope I can capitalize on this when the time comes; I'm a homebody so if I was going to be inside all year, I'd want to be on my computer trying to work on business and get stuff.
