After the background is completely removed, we can add a custom background to our profile picture.

In this training, I'll show an example of adding a plain colored background to the picture.

  • From PicMonkey left toolbar menu, click the Butterfly icon to access 'Overlay' option, and find 'Geometric', and select thesquare shape.

  • A small square will appear on top of your profile picture. Now, change the color according to your preference using the floating 'Overlay' window. Here's how it looks like after I change the square color.

  • Next, enlarge the square to fill in the whole region of the canvas

  • Now,right click on the green overlay, and select 'Send to back'. Voila, now we have a profile picture with a custom background

Go to the next page to create a custom shape for your profile picture.

Hi Roopesh, I love using Canva and PicMonkey to create my images. Canva is simple and perfect for creating social media images, while PicMonkey is great for those needing further 'touch up' such as this one. You should try them
