In this tutorial I am going to show you how to create a pin for Pinterest using the free version of Canva. The two images that I have shared below, I created them using the formular that I am shoiwing you in the video.

Remember to use dimensions of 600x900 because thats what Pinterest recommends and also use #tags when adding your pin to Your Pinterest because the #tags help your pin to rank well within Pinterest.

Always use keywords that are related to your pin subject as #tags, Pinterest is a search engine so keywords are very important even when describing your pin, just be creative on how you add your keywords but do not use too many kewords 2 or 3 are fine.

Also, some colors do very well on Pinterest, Think Pink, Blue, Yellow, Orange and Green when you are creating your pins because, they seem to perform very well. So below are the images I created for this tutorial.

Excellent tutorial Rose. Honestly, I will have to re-watch this video to learn how to handle the Pinterest pin and how to edit in Canvas.

I will practice until I get it. I love the easy and quick pin. Could you do one foe my health site?

Hi Maxine, it's very easy to create a Pinterest pin In Canva, just give it a try, there are many free pre-designed templates that you can just edit to your liking.

Thank you so much for this tutorial, Rose. That was just what I needed. I have just started using Canva, and I´m also just starting with Pinterest to promote my website. Now I know how to use Canva for that, and your training was also helpful for how to use Pinterest.

Me too. I already made a logo for my website and some info graphics with Canva. I also just made my first PIN with it with the help of your tutorial. I love how you can make cute graphics there.

that's fantastic, canva is a treasure, I go there and I can spend lots of time there just creating deferent things, I just created a custom banner for my website. you can create anything, YouTube art, Thumbnail anything.

Great tutorial Rose! Not only did I learn how to create the right size Pin, I also learned how to use the editing functions of Canva.

You discussed hashtags that I found helpful. Where do you place these hashtags in the graphics or Pin? I haven’t used hashtags in Pinterest so I was at a loss there.

Other than my shortcoming, I thought you made a wonderful video.

Thank you so much Edwin, the hashtags you are going to use them in Pinterest, on the description of your pin. For example, you are going to put the title of your pin, in this case, 5 recipes for weight loss, and then below that, you are going to be asked to describe what your pin is about.

So you are going to say, find 5 recipes for weight loss that are easy to make and very tasty#weightlossrecipes#looseweighteasy#easyandquicklowfatrecipes#weightlosstips

Of course, these are just examples that I am giving here. You have to be more detailed when you are describing your pin and you have to use the related keywords.

You answered my question Rose. Thanks much. I created a Pinterest account months ago but left it dormant as it wasn’t intuitive to use. Like this point about pin size. I’ll get there someday. If you’re an expert on Pinterest maybe you could make a video about that sometime.

I have been studying Pinterest For a while and I have actually used it for about 4 years although I was not using it for business until last year.
I do plan to create more videos about Pinterest because it is my favorite social media site.
