Business Page and Fan Page mean the same thing. Facebook used always to call them Fan Pages but recently (2018/19) started referring to them as business pages.

First up, you need a personal Facebook (FB) page. This will contain all your personal details and is verified by FB. You can use it for connecting with friends and posting personal stuff. But you don’t have to. You can create it and do nothing with it.

Business Pages are created from your personal FB page. Because your personal page has already been verified, they are easy to create.

Your personal friends will not automatically see your business page. Only those you specifically invite will see the page. To all intents and purposes, it is totally independent of your personal page. As the administrator, you are the only one who can swap between pages.

You can have more than one business page. Typically, you will have one for each on-line business you run.

Thank you. I created the page I need to, which is good. However, early I attempted to try to create a business page and messed up. Now my business page as that page I created earlier for my profile page, which I don't want. I don't know how to separate the and delete the other page from earlier. Do yo have any insight on this?

Am I understanding you correctly, that you need to delete an old business page?

Sorry, I re-read my post it sounded like I was bumbling everywhere. Yes you are correct.

My new business Facebook page (that you helped me with) attached it self to the first business Facebook page that I created (and I don't want). I need to know how to kill the first business so they will detach.

I hope this makes better sense.

I don't really understand how your new business page attached itself to the first one. I would have thought that you would just have two pages now, one of which you need to delete.

I found this tutorial on deleting a business page. It seems to be up to date. I followed it for one of my pages but didn't complete the final step as I didn't want to actually delete it.

Phil1944,

You see.....this is what happens when you just in deep part of the pool and you can't swim. You need to be rescued.

Thank you for your thoroughness. I am going to check this out in order to fix what I twisted up. LOL!!!

Do we need to make a business registration for the address section?
Reply

No, any address is fine. It's just a legislative requirement and will not be published.
