We all have dreams, wants, desires and needs. The question is, how do we focus them so we can forget them and get down to the work that will get us closer to those dreams?

That is one of the purposes of a dream board: putting down on paper what it is we want to achieve or ultimately do, buy or become.

"When the why gets stronger, the how gets easier." ~Jim Rohn

I created my first Dream Board (some people call them Vision Boards) when I was in network marketing. It gave me clarity on some of the things I wanted. It also gave me my why.

Hey Karin,

Back in the '70s when Amway was making it's second round in southern Ontario, Canada, one of the first things our "upline" rep would insist on is our creating a dream board.

You BET they work.

Up until 2009, I had one item that remained not reached that was on my dream board from back then, and at times it kinda' bugged me... BUT.... I was able to more than DOUBLE that dream in 2009!

It was a donation to an organization that I felt deserved that amount due to their "being there" for my family back when the Avro Arrow got cancelled, and my father was one of the more than 50,000 men out of work, and we lost our home.

Dream boards REALLY do work!

Yes, they really do. They give us a FOCUS and that, in my opinion, is essential!

Are you using one now?

I have to do some updating on mine as some of my "dreams" have changed and one thing I want to add is foster parenting!

Best wishes,
Karin 😁

All my dream board items have come true... so, I do not have a dream board at this point in time... only one goal that I'm focusing on.

Hi Karin, Thanks for the really interesting training. I have used a dream board for years but stopped a few years ago. Your training just reminded me of how appropriate it is for WA and life in general.

Thanks again.

Thank you for checking out the training. I like to use the board as a reminder of the things yet to come. It gives me a focus. Seeing it at night before I go to sleep and in the morning when I wake up really reinforces my desire to meet my goals to make my dreams come true!

Best wishes,
Karin 😁

Hi Karin.

I rarely follow training posts because I haven't even been paying that much attention to my WA lessons (got lots and lots going on). But the title of this one intrigued and boy, I'm glad I came.

I'm going to bookmark this AND get started on my dream board even before I go to bed! This is a great idea. 👌

Thanks for sharing.

Regards,

I'm glad you liked it, Tayo! Having our "dreams" posted clearly before us is a way to constantly remind ourselves of where we want to go. Good luck with getting it started. :)

Best wishes,
Karin 😁

It's been a long time since I've done a vision board - sounds like this might be a good time to do another and this time, focus on the "Why" rather than the "Things"!

Focusing on the "why" will make the "things" seem less important, but probably easier to get. :)

Great lesson Karin! Knowing your Big Why is very very important to succeed in anything we do. And sometimes is ever changing and in some seasons, we are our own Big Why... Dream Boards are also a must. Keeps us going, keeps us focused, and fires us up! Have an amazing day Karin!
